CEM - Contagious Equine Metritis is a disease involving the reproductive tract of horses. This disease is mostly isolated to Europe and surrounding countries and is screened heavily in new horses imported from these countries. This article explains how the large outbreak occurred in Florida this past year.

This year, there have been multiple confirmed cases of PHF in our region, occurring unusually early. The vaccine shows its highest effectiveness within the initial 3 months post-administration. For those beyond this timeframe, a booster is advised.
