On September 9, 2025, a K9 named Rock took his final rest. 🐾💔

Retired K9 Rock served the Tampa Police Department with courage, love, and unwavering loyalty. Born on November 15, 2010, he began his service in 2012 and retired in 2020 after years of dedicated work alongside his handler.

During his career, Rock played a role in numerous felony arrests and was certified in explosive detection. He assisted with safety sweeps at major events, concerts, sporting events, and dignitary visits, quietly helping protect the community he served.

After retiring in July 2020, Rock spent his golden years at home with his handler, his handler’s wife, and his fur brother Archie, the current K9 partner. Surrounded by family, he was able to enjoy the comfort and love he had so faithfully given.

K9 Rock leaves behind a legacy of service and devotion that will not be forgotten. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the lives he helped keep safe. Rest peacefully, Rock. 💙🌈🐕
