🐾 Tooth Root Abscess in Cats: What You Need to Know 🐾
A tooth root abscess is a severe infection around the root of a tooth, often caused by bacteria entering through a broken or traumatized tooth. This condition can be very painful for cats, even though they might not show obvious signs of discomfort.
Common Causes:
Bacteria entering through a chipped or fractured tooth.
Secondary to periodontal disease.
Symptoms to Watch For:

Zoonotic diseases are infections that can be transmitted from animals to humans. While over 100 diseases can be spread this way, most are rare in North America. Basic hygiene, especially hand washing, can prevent most of these diseases.
Common Zoonotic Diseases in Dogs:
Ringworm
Salmonellosis
Leptospirosis
Campylobacter infection
Giardia infection
Cryptosporidium infection
Roundworms, Hookworms, Tapeworms
Mange
Rabies
