Did you buy a grow out fish last year (2024)? If so, it’s almost time to bring it back for our Grow Out Contest 2025 on August 9th!

Please do not feed your koi for 7 days leading up to the event. This means that you should stop feeding on August 2nd! Everyone should bring their fish between 8:30-11:00 AM where we will rebag them in special bags before the show. Let us know if you have any questions about the process!

We will have sales on most products at Mystic Koi! Each participant who brings their koi back will be entered in a raffle for prizes like koi food, pumps, and more. Judges’ awards will also be handed out in addition to the Grand Champion award. The GC winner of the contest gets a FREE trip to Japan with Shawn!! 🤩

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for your patience—we know you’re all excited to show off your koi’s progress, and the wait is almost over!

Due to tight travel schedules for our visiting breeders from Japan, we're splitting this year's event into TWO amazing gatherings—and trust us, you won’t want to miss either one!

🐟 First up is Koi Fest! – June 2025
Join us next month for Koi Fest, our kickoff event filled with new energy and even newer koi! We'll be releasing a stunning selection of new grow-out koi eligible for the 2025 Grow-Out Contest. Enjoy our amazing food vendor and a chance to hand-pick your future champion!

2025’s Koi Fest Breeders: Omosako, Taniguchi, and Beppu!
Yes—there will be gorgeous koi, and yes—there will be delicious food & beverages for our patrons!

🏆 2024 Grow-Out Contest – Late July 2025
The event you've been preparing for!
At the end of July, we’ll host the official judging for the 2024 Grow-Out Contest. Breeders will be flying in from Japan to personally judge the development of your koi. Contestants will bring their koi to the shop, where we’ll re-bag them in clean, clear bags for judging.

This is your moment to shine and show how far your fish have come!
Stay tuned for exact dates, and get those koi looking their best. Big prizes, big recognition, and big fun ahead!
