Hey all, just an update on the 2 colic horses: Both seem to have dodged a very serious bullet!
But we are really not out of the woods because we have vet bills!!
I know we can count on YOU to help us out. We are truly doing everything in our power to keep these beautiful beasties upright, but we cannot do it alone. We need help! Any amount will help

This heat is doing a number on our babies! Saturday night, Jett colicked, and today, Grada (one of the polo mares) is colic-y. The vet is coming out AGAIN this evening.
I'm pretty sure the new hay we got is causing this! It seems to be that the horses are forgetting to drink water!!!

Casper, a beautiful Cremello gelding was sent to the slaughter pipeline, APFP intervened, rehabbed him and now he's a therapy horse helping others. In this video he helps his person by nudging her up the hill to get where she needs to go.
