The Bulldog Club of Utah's Rescue Committee rescues lost, abandoned, and unwanted English Bulldogs and places all adoptable Bulldogs in new homes. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a Best Friends Animal Society Network Partner. Rescue Objectives

The Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue Committee is composed of volunteers who are working toward these objectives:
1. To accept Bulldogs whose own

ers can no longer keep them and find responsible, stable, loving new homes for them.
2. To rehabilitate Bulldogs before placement by providing necessary medical treatment and training to increase the chances of successful placement.
3. To help reduce the population of unwanted pets by ensuring that all rescued Bulldogs are spayed/neutered before being placed.
4. To screen applicants thoroughly before making placement decisions.
5. To inform prospective adopters about the rescue program and the requirements for taking care of Bulldogs. The majority of the English Bulldogs rescued are surrendered by their owners who can no longer keep them. About one third of our rescue dogs come from local animal shelters and humane societies. The average age for the dogs that fall under our care is between 3-5 years, although 7+ has been the norm for some years. When adopting an older dog a period of adjustment is expected, the vast majority of our rescue dogs adapt very well regardless of their age. They seem to have an amazing ability to know when they found a good home. The Bulldog Club of Utah does not have a set fee for placement since the needs of dogs vary greatly. Some have medical problems that need treatment. The veterinary expenses incurred in rehabilitating the dog are passed along to the new adoptive owner. To apply for a rescue dog contact any member of the rescue committee. Your application will be reviewed and if you are found to be a suitable home, you will be placed on our waiting list. It is not necessary to contact more than one committee member. Application for adoption can be found at http://www.rescuebulldogs.org/index.php

Disclaimer: The Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue is ONLY for rescue of English Bulldogs needing homes. We do not purchases dogs from owners. All Rescued Bulldogs will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Chunk’s foster has reached out to us for help finding his forever home.

Chunk, a resilient 3-year-old Bulldog mix who we rescued from the harsh streets of Coachella Valley, California. Found living outdoors, in extreme 115°F desert heat and covered in ticks and open wounds, Chunk has made an incredible recovery.

Unfortunately, local adoption efforts have been unsuccessful and feel impossible.

❌ Local Adoption Challenges
• Coachella Valley’s older demographic often isn’t equipped for strong, energetic dogs like Chunk
• Brutal desert heat (110°F+) poses serious risks, especially for brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs
• Summer low season means many potential adopters are away until fall/winter

His foster Alyssa is fully committed to assisting with transport and logistics.

🐾 About Chunk
• Breed: Bulldog Mix (possible Mastiff/Pitbull influences; will have DNA results in 1-2 wks)
• Age: Approximately 3 years
• S*x: Male (Neutered)
• Weight: 61 lbs
• Location: Coachella Valley, CA
• Health:
• Fully vetted and thriving,
• Free of fleas, ticks, parasites, and heartworm
• Comprehensive testing completed: Full CBC blood panel, heartworm test, f***l sample, and ear cytology
• All medical records, lab results, and treatment history available upon request

Temperament & Training
Chunk is a goofy, affectionate, and playful dog with an enormous heart and irresistible charm—everyone who meets him falls in love instantly! He’s very strong and excitable, so he’d benefit from continued training and a strong, experienced owner. He’s mastered “sit” and responds well to “fetch” and “come,” but he will jump and nip when overly excited.
• Housebroken
• Crate trained (sleeps soundly through the night)
• Enjoys a mix of lounging/napping and energetic playtime, especially fetching his ball
• Food, toy, and praise motivated — ideal for training
• Still refining basic manners
• Best suited for an adult-only home (no small children) to avoid accidental nips during excitement
• No aggression toward people
• Dog reactivity unknown; he’d likely thrive as the only pet, though he might coexist with others — further assessment needed

🏡 What Chunk Needs
• A dedicated home with someone physically capable of handling a strong dog in training
• An adult-only environment or one with older, dog-savvy teens
• Owners who’ll embrace his sweet, playful, and relaxed Bulldog personality while providing structure, consistency, and ongoing training
• A much cooler climate to ensure his comfort and health!

🚚 Transport & Support
I’m happy to help coordinate or fund transport to get Chunk to the right place. I can provide:
• Complete vet records, treatment history, lab results, vaccination records, and microchip information
• Wisdom Panel DNA results (pending)
• Supplies including flea/tick medicine, a large bag of food, bio balm, crate, and toys

Chunk is a remarkable dog who’s overcome immense hardship and is now emotionally strong and ready to shower love on his new family.

Please feel free to reply or call for more details.
Thank you for your time and compassion in helping dogs like Chunk find their happy endings.

Name: Zeus
Breed: Old English Bulldog
Age: 3. Weight: 59 pounds
Neutered: Yes
Up-to-date on shots: Yes

Zeus has been with me since birth. He’s deeply loyal and loving, but also very protective and struggles with reactivity toward people and other dogs. I’ve worked with him through training and vet care, but he needs more support and structure than I can provide.

His ideal adopter
an experienced, patient adopter, ideally a male owner without other pets or small children, who can give Zeus a stable, low-stress environment and strong leadership.

7/5/2025 Update:🌟 ADOPTED 🌟

COURTESY POST - BCUR DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG.

Meet Tango! This adorably handsome boy is an AKC English Bulldog and he needs to go to the right home! He is 2-1/2 years old and is neutered. The original owners had to rehome this handsome boy due to family emergencies and a forced relocation.

He’s in great health, has quite the delightful personality and is 100% house trained. He plays and gets along great with my other bulldog, however, has not been around other breeds or cats.
He’s crazy about car rides; early morning walks are the greatest thing ever for him. During the day, he’s content to lay at your feet or snuggle with some toys. We believe he would be happiest and safest with a family of adults only. However, he is very respectful of his boundaries and doesn't get into things he shouldn't.

Tango is ADOPTED. ⭐️

Meet the guy we are calling Ziggy. Really though..whatever you want to call him, he doesn’t care…
Age:He is estimated to be about 14 or 15 months old.
He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and appears quite healthy. He seems quite well house- trained, and does not hate a crate ( and accepts it when he needs a break). He is getting the hang of chew toys!
This merle-ish guy is a happy little guy, very interested in his surroundings and very intent on what he sees. He may have not been anywhere, seen or done anything. He started out life in a commercial facility.

He needs help with impulse control…
Cats? NO!
Cats would be a bad idea. A very BAD idea.
Other dogs?
He seems to be especially reactive to “ white dogs”… maybe with the right - laidback, non-confrontational dog
His ideal human would be a consistent person that doesn’t put up with inappropriate behaviors.
Kids? unknown

NO CATS! Not good with white dogs. Kids? Unknown.

COURTESY POST - BCUR DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG

From the owner: Baby is a 10 month old French Pitbull. She has been spayed. She is very loving, playful, smart, and in great health. She loves to be held and snuggled. She wants a hug and a kiss from me and everyone that she sees. I named her "Baby" to inspire gentleness and sweetness, because she has been those things since she was born. We need to find her a loving home. She has been very good with the other dog in the house, who is a good bit smaller than her. (Also, Baby has a "White Feather" on her breastbone. I love it. It is really cool.☺️🩷) My name is Laurie, and I can be reached via call or text at 385-487-2498. (Or you can fill out the application at bulldogrescueofutah.org/adopt and we will pass the applications along.)

Update 7/11/2025 ADOPTED

COURTESY POST - BCUR DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG

Joe Joe is a very sweet boy and has been friendly with all kids and dogs he has encountered. He can sit and shake but needs worked with. He has separation anxiety and seems like he would do better if someone were at home or he had another dog to play with. He has gotten better at being walked and healing to a degree, but when he sees other animals he is very distracted and wants to do what he wants and needs more work.

He is adjusting to being in his own bed. He marks quite a bit and is very much an alpha dog, but seems like with time and training could learn manners and better behavior. He is beyond excited when I get home and greats me like he hasn’t seen me for days even when I leave for ten minutes. He's not neutered, so this may be something that helps with his issues.

I have struggled to work and do the things I need as he is always at my feet and definitely has separation anxiety. He is always trying to get out but seems to settle and be ok if I’m home and doesn’t try to run. He'll need a home that is up to the challenge of helping him become a great boy.

If you are interested in Joe Joe, please apply at the following link - https://form.jotform.com/200067531163142 - and we will forward the applications on to the owners.

We recently got word that Moose had passed away. He had been bounced around several homes. His current owner did what they could, but unfortunately his body gave out. From his owner: “I couldn’t bring myself to let him go through life dragging around his hind end...absolutely no quality of life there for him. We thought about a wheelchair device and my heart broke thinking about him using one and trying to be somewhat normal…I but I’m so happy that I did not give up on the little monster! We took our boy to the vet and unfortunately it was not good! He was completely paralyzed on the back end. He was not eating or drinking, and breathing became labored. We made the heartbreaking decision to have him cross the rainbow bridge 😭😭 But in the end, he is whole, free of pain, running and chasing his squeaky pig!” Run free, big fella!

COURTESY POST - BCUR DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG

Due to a change in living circumstances, Luna, a Bulldog/Frenchie mix, needs to find a new home. She is presently living in the Provo, Utah area, with 2 Border Collies who do not care too much for her, and Luna keeps getting injured. She is 6 years old, weighs about 55 pounds, and has lived successfully with a ChowChow, but it is just not going well with the Border Collies. A home where she can be the center of attention would probably be the best for her.

She is a good, smart girl, house-trained, and understands commands such as "go","stay", "sit", "toy". She has a lot of energy and loves to play, but also will cuddle up with her person for hours under a blanket.

If you think that you can give Luna the home she wants and deserves, please contact Sofia: 801-361-9691.
