💪 A Few Reminders for the County Fair 💪
📣 Feel Free To Share 📣

For many of us we are counting down the days till COUNTY FAIR! Even our sweet Amyx Grace knows the importance of practice, practice, and more practice! After dance lessons or t-ball practice she still gets her walk in with her calf. So, let’s talk about the county fair! - Love, Chastin

.) WORK HARD! Are you putting in the time and work it takes to be successful? Banners are won at home. If not START NOW! We believe in you ❤️!

.) MAKE IT POSTIVE and FUN! Remember, the county fair is WHAT YOU MAKE IT! If you’re negative, it’ll be negative! If you get caught up in the drama, it’ll be drama. BUT…. If you spread love, encouragement, and camaraderie it will spread as well!

.) BE THE CHANGE! Grab a few board games, plan a kickball tournament, or bag toss and create friendships with the exhibitors around you!

.) ALL THE WATER BALLOONS! It’s not too late to go to the fair leadership and ask for a 30 minute water fight at the wash racks! This is a great way to build friendships and focus on the fun. You may just create a tradition that lasts forever.

.) FRESH WATER! Fairs are long and stressful. Keep water buckets freshened every 3-4 hours. Watch your animals eyes and ears closely, if they don’t feel good - you can tell!

.) HERDSMANSHIP MATTERS! Decorate your pens, keep them fresh and clean. You never know whose watching! Pickup trash throughout the barns and lend help to others!

.) ADVOCATE! Be kind to the city folk sightseers! Remember, you ARE THE ADVOCATE regardless of your age! Take the opportunity to answer their questions about your animals! You may be the reason they join 4-H or FFA! Or maybe they are anti-AG and you show them how much you care about your project!

.) FRESH AIR. Take your animals out of the barns on a walk at daylight and after dark to keep them fresh and healthy. Those barns get dusty, get them outside and get them some fresh air! We recommend 15 minutes morning and night.

.) DRESS FOR SUCCESS. Get those jeans starched and your shirt ironed! You have worked too hard to not look the part 😉! Don’t forget to fix your hair!

.) FANS, SNACKS & RADIOS! Don’t forget the fans! Your animals need them. Also, a fan for you at your stalls never hurts 😉! Playing fun music at your stalls and a few snacks will foster friendships.

.) LOSING. Sometimes no matter how hard we work, we lose. That’s life. Don’t blame the judge or talk negatively about the winners. Instead, congratulate the winners and go formulate a plan to regroup and grow.

.) WINNING. Of course winning is ALWAYS the GOAL! However, be humble, kind, and considerate of others. Consider every success a blessing and pay it forward.
