Ruff to Rescue Express

15/07/2026

Little Brucie was found in Alvin Texas by a wonderful couple who fostered him until we could get him vetted and find him a home.

Brucie is now Sonny and he is doing great with his new family and big brother Strider.

Fosters and donors make rescue possible !

Fundraiser to benefit the dog rescue.

We are having a fundraiser for the dog rescue.

Although we do not transport dogs any longer, we are still active and help out in our local community and give donations to many of the independent rescuers in our area to help them with vet bills and food costs and help other rescues with monetary and/or food donations.

All proceeds will go to the rescue.

Thank you all for your support!

Please share everyone. Time really is crucial right now!

We must help save the cattle that have survived the wild fires! They need food!

We are leaving in 1 week to bring supplies to the Texas panhandle. The fires have been devastating. Losing this amount of livestock will affect the food chain. Even if you are not in Texas, this will affect your cost of beef at the grocery store.

Please consider donating to help us get to our goal. We will be purchasing the items needed.

You can also drop off donations if you are local or ship them in.

I am keeping track of all donations and will be posting how funds are spent and where donations go.

Update #1

We will be leaving Houston March 21st or 22nd
We are struggling to get donations to bring up to the panhandle. So far we have raised $1850 from very generous donors so we are almost halfway to our goal. Our plan for the monetary donations is to spend them on items that are not physically donated. Again all receipts will be available upon request from donors.

We have also received a donation of six bags of feed and 7 bags of dog food and cat food along with a few other small items. This is a 10 Hour dive up to the panhandle and we really want to bring a full load with us.

Currently the fires are still burning and it’s estimated that 6500 cattle have lost their lives. 500 houses destroyed.
Much of the area where the surviving cattle have been moved to is burned, so grazing is not an option. The survivors are dependent upon the food that’s being trucked into the region.

Any help with gas cards would also be appreciated. It will cost us approximately $800 in fuel for our truck and trailer and van to go there and back.

There are 320 million plus people in the USA. If just 5% gave $1 that would make an enormous difference.

Please Share! Very Urgent right now!

Largest fire in Texas history is going on in the Texas panhandle right now. Over 1,000,000 acres have now burned or are on fire currently.

Over 8 million animals both livestock and wildlife have been affected along with their humans in that area. 6500 confirmed deceased.

My husband and I will be collecting donations starting in Houston Texas, going through Dallas Texas and onto the Texas panhandle area.

If you have donations that you would like to give, please contact me at 772-475-7680

If you have a truck, trailer or vehicle and can also drive donations to the panhandle, please contact me at 772-475-7680

We are currently working on making connections there, where we can drop off the Donations. If you know someone in need, please have them contact me.

For those of you who know me well and trust that I will ensure that monetary or gift card donations get to the people who need them, we have also set up a fundraiser. Donation records will be kept and available upon request.

Please share and/or Donate if you can, for funeral expenses for Mary Ranous

Thank you all!

Hi my name is Susan McFarland, as most of you know my beautiful cousin Mimi was killed in a car accident on… Susan McFarland needs your support for Mimi ❤️

An angel left this place we call Earth yesterday…..

Mary Ranous was an intricate part of our dog rescue program for 8 years. Our dog transports could never have happened without her! That’s for sure!

Mary coordinated all of our transport stops in Texarkana, Nashville, Cincinnati, the Columbus area, and of course to our wonderful rescue partners in Rochester and Buffalo over the years. Mary picked up donations so that foster dogs had supplies. Mary and her husband
Jeff Ranous also drove our foster dogs across the country so they could find their forever homes.

Mary truly was a beautiful soul and a light for Good, to all those that she met. Her life consisted of so much giving and so much love.

Every time we finished a transport, she would say, “My heart is full”.

“Hey Mare, we love you and we will miss you. See you on the other side!”
