He we are in this place we’ve been before and after 16 years you’d think I wouldn’t be surprised, but I am. I guess I feel like I hold a little secret and yet I completely respect everyone’s choice and opinion.
Male dogs.
Why have they gotten a bad rap? A couple of bad ones speak for the rest?
Anyone who knows me, who has dogs from me, is a friend, knows 2 things. My preference is male, big dogs. Always love the bigger ones and always a male. Clearly I have all of the above, clearly I’ve had lots and I still stand behind my personal choices for me, not anyone else.
Why male? Easier to train, less stubborn, less moody, as they age, temperament stays steady, females get moody and sometimes get to where they pick certain people over others. Males just rock along, loving their people.
Do they mark? Not if they’re trained properly.
My trainers prefer them for working dogs such as service and therapy, but hey, we have a female therapy dog. It’s certainly not a solid thing! Some just like one over the other.
Here we sit with some amazing temperament boys ready for their family. Ready for love, who have exceeded expectations. Who were the ones who barked and we had to work on? Females? Which one was a little too assertive? A female.
Its crazy. And kind of funny. I have a feeling that someone will choose them because they really want a pup now and those are the options. It’s not that they’ll settle, they’ll just choose and they’ll send me messages on how perfect that baby is for them, later. It happens the other way around too, though.
I’m laughing a little because I kind of get the feeling that my soon to be born micro litter that will only have a few pups will have only have males. Not sure why that’s funny, but it just is. We always pray for our families and for the pups and for the right ones to be together and God has not disappointed us yet. Timing is everything.
May God use these precious little babies to share unconditional love for their families!
