Rainbow Rabbitry

Niagara frontier rabbit club hosted a great show in Batavia today. Thanks to Eric Stewart for choosing Emily and Emily’s rabbits for best in show and reserve in show for A

Emily Jago’s shiny junior Brittania Petite buck was RIS and RR’s thrianta sr doe VESPA was BIS. Both rabbits and exhibitors are bound for Reno next month.

We're liking this litter RR's ZESTAR (blue) x Decidedly Dutch's ROMEO (chocolate) Looks like five of them are marked for showing which doesn't happen that often. And I'm thrilled to have blacks back in the barn.

Rainbow Rabbitry did one more show before our hiatus in Cortland, NY. The TARBA show is our home club show, so we worked our tails off and these are the only two photos I snapped at the end. Neither Dutch was in the mood to sit still for posing in the afternoon.

Our Blues did very well.

Youth Show A Judge Mark Fiorentino
BOB RR's Pandamonium Sr Buck went on to win 2nd RIS
(BOS to Wyatt's Lilac senior doe - what a beauty!)

Youth Show B Judge Jenn Boozer
BOB RR's Cutie Pie went on to win 2nd RIS (look at the June 13 post at last week's show for a proper picture of her on the RIS table).
BOS RR's Pandamonium

RR's SQUID Thrianta Sr. buck won BOB in both youth shows
And some Jr does debuting traded on BOS.

If you are interested in our Dutch or Thrianta lines, contact us this summer!

We went to the Lake Effect show in Sandy Point yesterday mostly because Emily Jago was going too. A nice little show!

The Dutch and the thrianta did not have any competition, and most of the does were home expecting or with litters.

Nevertheless, RR’s Cutie Pie won RIS show A.

The thrianta were all young and RR’s SQUID recently senior buck and RR’s RT48 jr doe were BOB and BOS.

Happy Mother's day! Emily's present to me was going to the Fingerlakes Rabbit Breeder's show in Palmyra with me. We both had school stuff and serious lack of sleep (and so did a fellow rabbit breeder who shall remain nameless). But that did not stop everyone from enjoying the wonderful show and having some downtime just to chat.

Thanks to Molly and the showmanship volunteers for running youth knowledge contests and hopping and thanks to the show committee for running a smooth show.

We brought a lot of rabbits to move and some to show. We didn't move any, so I'll be in Augusta next week with Thrianta and jr Dutch.

JP's TEMPEST II blue Senior Doe won BOS in youth Show A, just one week off a litter. Congratulations to Paige Smith on her BOB and RIS for her blue Jr doe. Bring that doe to more shows to make her a grand champion!

WCR's MAJESTY Lilac Sr. Doe won BOB and RIS youth Show B and RR's SKAKET blue senior buck won BOS.

RR's thriantas did well. RR's TOTALITY winning BOB show A and RR's SUGARBEE in show B. We are waiting on some promising juniors to develop for upcoming shows!

The banquet is finished and it was a good night for knowledge contests. Emily placed

Second in judging

First in Showmanship with just one point difference and nearly perfect scores for the top three contestants

2026 ADRC Queen

She took 4 blue rabbits and won best blue display and best fur for all varieties.

And I picked up the amazing Dutch quilt that was made and donated by Julie Hume for next year’s NDS in Michigan.

We will get up early and drive, drive, drive tomorrow.

The trip to Wisconsin for NDS started great. RR’s Cutie Pie won best fur in youth. We were on pins and needles wondering if she would molt like the most of the herd before we could get her to the show. We kept her cool for the better part of a month and even skipped taking her to the last rabbit shows to avoid stressing her out.

We said good bye to Madison but I think we will return. And I found my taco dinner for the third night in a row!
