It was a cold, snowy and winter day in Ohio. Big Bleu finished his Championship today in Tallmadge, Ohio. Congratulations to his owners Bernard and Gladys Melvin. Finishing picture to follow later.

This is Big Bleu's sister Slaton's One Tuff Cookie. She is pointed and we will be showing her more this year, but if she comes in season before we finish her Championship we will be breeding her. Then she can go to more shows after that.

We have decided also to place a 4 year old girl who we are not going to be showing or breeding. She is so very sweet, and gets along well with people as well as other dogs. Her name Angel Girl definitely fits her, she is lead trained, and crate trained and rides good in the crate in the van. With a little more obedient training I think she would make a great Therapy Dog. She is up on her vaccinations DA2LPP & Rabies 4/30/25, she was heartworm tested in late spring and has been on Ivermectin Plus for heartworm preventive ever since. She is microchipped, has AKC papers but we never registered her so she doesn't have a registered name, we just call her Angel Girl since she is out of Blue Angel. She is being spayed today so she won't be available for a new home for probably a couple of weeks. We are cutting back on some of our dogs that we are not going to be showing or breeding. Number one they all have sweet loving temperaments, otherwise we would not offer them for good loving pet homes. First we have a Longhair St. Bernard Male who just turned 2 years old. He is very sweet, he is lead trained, and crate trained, is up to date on vaccinations as well was heartworm tested in late spring and has been on Ivermectin Plus for heartworm preventive ever since. Thank you American Dog Fancier for sharing these memories. There are a lot of new St. Bernard people out their who don't know about a lot of great dogs from the past. They don't know us or what we have done in the breed in our 50 plus years of showing and breeding Saints. Ben holds the record for the Top Winning St. Bernard in the history of the breed. His grand mother CH. Slaton's Harlow Jean V Smalley CD holds the record for being the Top Brood Bitch of all time, not only for St. Bernard's, but Top Dam for the whole Working Group. She produced 26 Champions, Three of her Get were All Breed Best In Show winners, out of three different stud dogs. Her grandson Ben holds the record for Top Winning Saint, then her son CH. Slaton's Piece Of The Action CD holds the record as the second Top Winning St. Bernard in the history of our breed. He was only specialed for two years and had 24 All Breed Best In Shows. We have bred way over 100 Champions with more to come, many Saint Specialty Winners, Obedience Title Holders, many Therapy dogs that we are all very proud of. If God is willing we will continue in the breed for much longer, and will always be here to help new comers in the breed as well as the Saint Bernard Club Of America and some of our local Saint Clubs. www.slatonsaints.com
