📚✏️ Fall Critter Camp Sessions 🐾🐶

Looking for the perfect after-school activity for your animal-loving kiddo? Warrick Humane Society’s Kids Program is excited to announce TWO 8-week sessions of Fall Critter Camp!

Your child will enjoy hands-on time with animals, fun crafts, and learning how to be a voice for shelter pets. Each camper receives a WHS t-shirt, their own adoptable stuffed animal, and more!

🗓️ Camp Details by Age Group:

🔹 Session One: Ages 8–9
📅 August 21 – October 9, 2025

🔹 Session Two: Ages 10–12
📅 October 23 – December 18, 2025
(No class November 27 – Thanksgiving)

⏰ Every Thursday evening from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
🎟️ $120 registration fee – includes all materials, snacks, and camp swag!

Let’s not let her grow up in a shelter.

Nebula came to us at just 4 months old—and now, at 6 months, she’s still waiting for a family to call her own. This sweet German Shepherd mix is full of potential, love, and puppy charm. She’s going to be a big girl with an even bigger heart, and she deserves to grow up in a home, not a kennel.

🎨 Kids Summer Craft Workshop 🎨

Get ready for a summer full of creativity, color, and fun! Join us for the last session of our first-ever Myriad Kids Summer Craft Series, a special crafting event designed for kids ages 6–12 (older kids are welcome, too!). Our last session is TODAY, so don't miss out!

Each session includes 3 hands-on craft projects, and a chance to make new friends while exploring their artistic side in a relaxed, welcoming space.

🗓 Upcoming Event Dates:
• TODAY, August 3rd: Monster Mash 👻
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

📍 Location: Myriad Brewing Company
💵 Cost: $35 per session (includes all materials and 3 craft projects)
Ages: 6-12
(We will have coloring page kits for kids under 6 for a donation to the shelter to work on)

✨ Event Details:
No reservations required – the first 30 kids to arrive will be accepted.
*Some projects involve paint, so please have kids dress in clothes that it’s okay if paint accidentally gets on them.

✨Parents must remain on site during the event. You're welcome to relax inside the Myriad Brewing Company building while the kids craft outdoors.
The event is all-inclusive and wheelchair accessible.
We'll provide drinks and snacks for all the kiddos!

🎟 Spots are limited and first come, first served—so arrive early and get ready for a summer of crafty fun!

All Proceeds from our Summer Camps go to support the rescue pets at WHS!

Wednesday is a 3 month old Boxer mix and she is looking for her forever home!

Wednesday is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, deworming, prevention, is microchipped, and spayed. She is a little more shy than her brother and is super sweet and cuddly. Her mom is Athena.

🌟 Let’s Make Day 200 Leza’s Last in the Shelter 🌟

Today marks 200 days in our care for Leza—Warrick Humane Society’s longest resident. That’s 200 days of waiting. Of watching other dogs go home. Of wagging her tail at every visitor, hoping they’d be her person.

Leza is a 1-year-old Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love and legs ready to run by your side. She’s smart, loyal, and a total snugglebug—her signature move is giving hugs with her eyes closed. 🥹💛

Leza walks great on a leash, loves being active, and is always eager to please. She’s working hard on her potty training and just wants to be part of your everyday life. While she’s dog-selective, she can do well with the right-sized companion. But she’s not a fan of cats or smaller dogs, so a home where she can be the star would be perfect.

After 200 days, the shelter environment is taking a toll. She’s starting to show signs of stress, and she desperately needs a break—ideally in a forever home, but even a foster would help give her the comfort and calm she’s been craving.

Our Junior Volunteer Session Two wrapped up yesterday, and we couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group of young animal lovers! From July 8 to August 1, these dedicated students learned the ins and outs of shelter life, helped care for our animals, and made a real difference.

We wanted to share a few snapshots from their time with us—and announce that they’ve officially graduated to become regular WHS volunteers! 💙

Thank you for your compassion, your hard work, and your love for our shelter pets. We can’t wait to see all you’ll continue to do as part of the WHS family!
