Rompin Paws Rescue is a No-Kill companion animal rescue dedicated to helping pets in need and helping end the suffering caused by humans through overbreeding, abandonment, and cruelty. Our goal is to save one animal at a time and give it the best care possible through proper vetting, spay/neuter, proper feeding and nutrition, training, love, and compassion. Our volunteers and Fosters receive training in basic care, nutrition, training, and medical emergencies so they have the tools they need to help an animal become adoptable and eventually find its forever family. Our adopters are also given valuable information and support so they know they can count on us if the need should arise. I have seen the number of animals killed in U.S shelters drop over 44 years from 20 million adoptable pets per year to six million per year. We still have far to go and Rompin Paws Rescue is another step on that road to a NO-KILL Nation. Dog Adoption Guidelines
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! YES, we do adopt to Canadians. We Have adopted The philosophy put forth by SHUG rescues Founder that We as a rescue are seeking EMOTIONAL SUPPORT HUMANS for the dogs. We highly recommend this short blog post by a fellow rescuer explaining what adopting a rescue dog means to her. http://sighthoundunderground.com/http/this-is-not-your-dog/? Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from Starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescued animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pets on the same foods for optimal health and long life. we highly recommend this book: The Forever Dog- https://www.amazon.com/Forever-Dog-Surprising-Companion-Healthier/dp/0063002604/ref=

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION:

1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences, and are willing to feed the dogs Canine Specific food.

3) Secure visible fencing required.

4) You must have a plan in place to socialize your dog properly.

5) Please do NOT write to us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working on other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available.

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you at the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families, and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: All dogs have been spayed/neutered unless they are too young. They are microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. All dogs are wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo and they are fed a Species appropriate Human grade diet for dogs. Adoption Fees

The adoption fee is $650.00 for most dogs. Senior dogs vary by age and the amount of medical care received. The adoption fees help cover transport from shelters all over the west coast, and medications such as certain vaccines, worming, and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, any special medical care, dental as required, and care of sick or injured dogs. We bring dogs from up from California mostly, some from Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and the occasional dog from China or India. There are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and groomed. We don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue
Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, Non-profit Corporation specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, Senior dogs, dogs who were dumped by humans in parks, on the streets, and backwoods trails, as well as Shelter Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State, 1 Hr. North of Seattle. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time, we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, and SENIORS, which has become critical in the past few years as more people are throwing away their older dogs. RPR occasionally takes in larger dogs. RPR works collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and along the I-5 corridor from California to Washington

RPR was established in April 2015. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington, 1 hour N. of Seattle. We have local fosters from Seattle to Bellingham and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives. If you would like to become a foster for Rompin Paws, please fill out this foster application- http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have a home-based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process...
Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, and Due to COVID 19, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come to visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at our facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. YES, We are adopting to Canadians.

**URGENT: WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW!**

I’m reaching out in the hope of your assistance for a heartfelt mission: helping transport four precious puppies to Rompin Paws Rescue in Arlington, WA.

I’m reaching out in hope of your assistance for a heartfelt mission: helping transport four precious puppies to Rompin Paws Rescue in Arlington, WA.

This Saturday, July 19th, we have four adorable puppies arriving from Fresno, California, with their last stop in Lacey, WA, just south of Tacoma.
We urgently need 1-4 compassionate drivers to join us in creating a transport route from Lacey to either Arlington, WA, or Everett, where I can meet you.

It’s crucial to have someone ready to greet the transport in the mid to late afternoon (we’ll share the exact arrival time on Friday evening and continue providing updates throughout Saturday as the journey unfolds). This process may take a few hours, and we also need drivers to connect with the first transporter, located somewhere north of Tacoma, to guide the puppies along their way to Everett or Arlington.

For this mission, each car will require two medium crates to ensure the puppies travel safely. The group includes two sets of siblings:
- Chelsea and Nimbu (the sweet brown pups)
- Ziggy (the playful white pup) and Nash (the charming brown/black puppy)

Your help in this mission means the world to these little ones.
If you can lend your support, please reach out to me via PM or email me at [email protected].
Together, we can make a difference in their lives! Thank you so much for considering this important task.

**Good Morning, Everyone!**
Today is my birthday, and it marks my 50th Year of rescuing animals.

THANK YOU! Thank you for supporting this 50 anniversary/Birthday Dog food Fundraiser to save more lives this summer!!
I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our supporters for their contributions to our 2025 Dog Food Drive.
We are currently at 50% of our goal to raise enough dog food to last into September. This means we can say "yes" more often to dogs in need. Just last night, we agreed to take in two local dogs that were relinquished, and who will be arriving next weekend.

**Our Goal:**
This July, our mission is to amass a substantial stockpile of dog food for Rompin Paws Rescue. We’re aiming to gather:
- 60 large boxes of dog food
- 30 small boxes of dog food
- 50 bags of freeze-dried food
- 60 split deer antlers
- Essential supplies

I also want to thank the anonymous donor who sent three ten-pound bags of The Honest Kitchen baked dog food. The dogs love it!!
If you'd like to help Rompin Paws with our Dog Food Drive and assist us in reaching 100% of our goal, please check out our Amazon Wishlist using this link. Thank you!
All items are delivered to Rompin Paws in Arlington, WA.

**Today and tomorrow you can purchase dog food on sale at Amazon Prime Days and save a life** https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/EIEIJNLDAEEO?ref_=wl_share

This initiative will provide food and medications for 30-35 dogs and puppies until September, allowing us to rescue even more dogs in need during this busy puppy season.

**When:**
The Dog Food Fundraising Drive runs from today, July 5th, through July 20th. Today and tomorrow are the Final Prime Sales Days

**Why This Matters:**
Dog food is the lifeblood of rescue operations. Having a well-stocked supply enables us to save even more dogs in desperate situations. Sadly, this summer has seen a troubling rise in the number of dogs being euthanized, and countless vulnerable puppies are being abandoned.

**You hold the power to create change!**
By helping us build a large stockpile of human-grade dog food, we can continue to say “yes” to dogs in peril.
Please visit our Amazon Wish List—every purchase will be delivered directly to Rompin Paws Rescue in Arlington, WA.
