Rompin Paws Rescue is a No-Kill companion animal rescue dedicated to helping pets in need and helping end the suffering caused by humans through overbreeding, abandonment, and cruelty. Our goal is to save one animal at a time and give it the best care possible through proper vetting, spay/neuter, proper feeding and nutrition, training, love, and compassion. Our volunteers and Fosters receive training in basic care, nutrition, training, and medical emergencies so they have the tools they need to help an animal become adoptable and eventually find its forever family. Our adopters are also given valuable information and support so they know they can count on us if the need should arise. I have seen the number of animals killed in U.S shelters drop over 44 years from 20 million adoptable pets per year to six million per year. We still have far to go and Rompin Paws Rescue is another step on that road to a NO-KILL Nation. Dog Adoption Guidelines
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! YES, we do adopt to Canadians. We Have adopted The philosophy put forth by SHUG rescues Founder that We as a rescue are seeking EMOTIONAL SUPPORT HUMANS for the dogs. We highly recommend this short blog post by a fellow rescuer explaining what adopting a rescue dog means to her. http://sighthoundunderground.com/http/this-is-not-your-dog/? Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from Starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescued animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pets on the same foods for optimal health and long life. we highly recommend this book: The Forever Dog- https://www.amazon.com/Forever-Dog-Surprising-Companion-Healthier/dp/0063002604/ref=

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION:

1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences, and are willing to feed the dogs Canine Specific food.

3) Secure visible fencing required.

4) You must have a plan in place to socialize your dog properly.

5) Please do NOT write to us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working on other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available.

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you at the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families, and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: All dogs have been spayed/neutered unless they are too young. They are microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. All dogs are wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo and they are fed a Species appropriate Human grade diet for dogs. Adoption Fees

The adoption fee is $650.00 for most dogs. Senior dogs vary by age and the amount of medical care received. The adoption fees help cover transport from shelters all over the west coast, and medications such as certain vaccines, worming, and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, any special medical care, dental as required, and care of sick or injured dogs. We bring dogs from up from California mostly, some from Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and the occasional dog from China or India. There are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and groomed. We don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue
Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, Non-profit Corporation specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, Senior dogs, dogs who were dumped by humans in parks, on the streets, and backwoods trails, as well as Shelter Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State, 1 Hr. North of Seattle. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time, we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, and SENIORS, which has become critical in the past few years as more people are throwing away their older dogs. RPR occasionally takes in larger dogs. RPR works collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and along the I-5 corridor from California to Washington

RPR was established in April 2015. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington, 1 hour N. of Seattle. We have local fosters from Seattle to Bellingham and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives. If you would like to become a foster for Rompin Paws, please fill out this foster application- http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have a home-based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process...
Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, and Due to COVID 19, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come to visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at our facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. YES, We are adopting to Canadians.

Introducing amazing Cairn Terrier mixes-Kenzie’s four delightful pups, born from a rescue mission that saved mom from a crowded shelter's euthanasia list. Kenzie’s unexpected pregnancy turned into a beautiful opportunity for her and her puppies—Fiona, Panda, Pearla, and Sofie—who are now ready to find their forever homes as they celebrate their 8-week milestone on December 6th. They are prepared to find their forever families this season.

These puppies have been raised in a loving foster environment and are well-socialized, making them the perfect companions for the right family. They will thrive in a home with a young adult dog who can mentor them and guide them as they grow. Families with children over the age of ten, who understand the needs of small-breed dogs, will find these lively pups to be an ideal match.

Each puppy is developing its own unique personality, and we encourage you to meet them in person to see which one captures your heart. All four are vibrant, happy, and ready to bring joy to your life. Don’t miss out on the chance to adopt one of these wonderful companions—your perfect match is waiting!

Skye is a sweet, loving, happy boy who ADORES other dogs, kids, and happy people.

Skye is living it up with his fosters in Edmonds, WA, who are devoting a lot of time to his training, exercise, and mental stimulation. Their devotion to his care is paying off in spades!
This young boy has grown heapz since being under their guidance. Skye has learned Good leash manners, how to go to his crate for breakfast, sit, stay, and come. For an energetic little dude, these are huge strides in the best direction!

Skye is incredibly bright and willing to learn all that he can. He loves the attention, and it keeps his mind active.
Skye will need a companion small dog in the home. He does not like being the only dog. Skye will also fair best if someone in the home works from home part time. he has a bit of separation anxiety, but partly due to their not being another dog in the foster home.

Check out his happy videos. Don't you just love the carpet crawl!!
Skye needs a forever family with another young, active, and dog-friendly pup so Skye can become BFFs. He prefers not to be an only dog. A fenced yard would help immensely with a safe training and play area between walks for optimal exercise.

If you would love to learn more about Skye and apply to adopt him, kindly fill out an application on our website- https://rompinpawsrescue.com
