Our front desk girl, Juno, turns 6 today.🎂  In six years, she’s lived in New York City, spent 18 months on the road in a trailer with dad, moved to Baltimore for a mom and kitty sister (Stevie), and stood proudly by while her parents got married.
Now, she’s a small business owner and the perks are pretty great. Treats. New friends daily. Time with mom and dad. A whole business built with her in mind.

Fireworks might be festive for us, but for dogs? Not so much. Let’s keep our pups safe, calm, and close this 4th of July. Here’s how:

🐾Make sure they get a good walk and potty break before the noise begins
🫶🏻Set up a quiet, secure space where they can retreat — a crate, closet, or interior room with their favorite blanket and toys
🦴Try puzzle toys, frozen Kongs, or calming music to help distract them (but if they just want to curl up next to you, that’s okay too)
🧑‍⚕️Use calming tools like vet-approved treats, a ThunderShirt, or a pet-safe scent diffuser — and if your vet prescribed medication, give it at least an hour before the fireworks start
🔒Double check their collar ID and microchip info — just in case

Your calm presence helps too — they take their cues from you!
