🚨 ST. LOUIS, WHERE YOU AT? 🚨

We are in crisis mode at CARE STL.

Over 120 dogs are packed into a shelter meant for 65.

We’re out of space. Out of crates. Out of time.

More dogs are coming in every single day. Some have been stuck in crates for hours. They’re crying, spinning, barking their hearts out — just waiting for someone to notice them. To help them. To let them breathe.

Our team is doing everything we can, but we’re drowning.

And we need you.

So if you’re seeing this and thinking “I wish there was something I could do” — there is. We need YOU. Come in. Show up.

🥯 Bagel and English Muffin 🧁 have something to say:

Almost 40 dogs have come in during the last 2 days.
We now have 113+ dogs on site, in a building meant for just 65.

And more are coming. Every. Single. Day.

As we speak, animal control is sitting outside with a puppy they can’t bring in—because we have no open kennels.

Bagel and English Muffin are scared here. They don’t understand why it’s so loud, or why there are dogs everywhere. But they do know they’d rather be anywhere else—with you.

Adopt. Foster. Overnight. Anything helps.
They’ll gladly give up their crates for another dog in need… but someone has to take them home first.

Please join your fellow animal lovers for a fun afternoon painting your pet at The Little Bevo to benefit CARE STL!

$80 covers your pre-drawn canvas (2 pets maximum per canvas), paints, brushes and snacks. There will be a cash bar available.

This is the third year for this event and it's been a blast every year!

Smuckers is one inconvenience away from quitting the shelter system entirely.
She’s 3 years old, 41 pounds of sass, snuggles, and unbothered side-eyes. She loves kids, adores people, and has even started making dog friends—but don't let that fool you. She will sit like this and judge everyone until she gets adopted.

Her hobbies include dramatic belly crawls, emotionally manipulating you with her eyes, and plotting her exit via maximum cuteness.

Take her home before she files a formal complaint with the universe.

This sweet pup just arrived at 8:15 PM— and we’re hoping this is the last intake for today.

A total of 14 dogs have come in today due to the extreme heat. Our shelter is at capacity and we urgently need your help.

Come to the shelter tomorrow and meet our incredible pups — they’re counting on you!
