Over the last few weeks while Hudson has been in our care, we’ve heard: “scary”, “mean pit bull”, “intense”…all coming from folks who have never even met Hudson before. ☹️ Here as CHS we strongly believe that breed stereotyping is WRONG and we are big advocates for all animals, not matter how big, how small, how loud, how quiet…you get the picture. 😜❤️🐾

So this is our plea to you, our amazing community! 🤩 Give Hudson a chance. He needs and deserves a forever home to spoil him rotten. 🏡 He is a quiet, gentle boy who is two years old, has potential with other dogs and mature kiddos! He needs a champion. And we think it’s you! 🥇❤️🐾

Cat extraordinaire, Jeff is a lover of all animals but definitely has a knack with our kitty cat friends. AND! He doesn’t mind cleaning! Amazing. 🥰 Thank you, Jeff, for all you do for our furry friends at CHS! ❤️

Hillary is a dog that we thought for sure would get scooped up and find a forever home straight away, yet somehow she is still here at our shelter, waiting patiently. ❤️☹️🐾

Bad weather? ❄️🧊🌧️ Who cares! Jim doesn’t. ❤️Jim is at CHS walking our dogs bright and early. Some even say that Jim is a dog whisperer! Able to get the most shy and shut down dogs at our shelter to fall in love with him. 🥰❤️🐾

Sometimes a furry friend scoots out of here so quickly we don’t even have time to take an adoption photo! We get it, families are soooo excited to add a new member to their family to love and cherish. 🥰🐾

Macguyver was adopted and clearly is settling in purrfectly with his new forever family. 😊 Happy gotcha day!!

It’s volunteer appreciation week! ❤️🤩🐾

CHS would not run without our volunteers, so this week we’d like to shout out some of the amazing volunteers who help us everyday. There are a few that we’d like to shout out, but if we could we’d highlight every single one! 🤗

Everyday a small army of volunteers help clean the shelter, walk the dogs, play with cats, and make sure that every animal is cared for and loved. If you’re a volunteer, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 🙏 🐾

Levi has been on local radio stations and has even made some appearances on local television. He adores making new friends! 😎 Here is a little more info on Levi: he’s two years old, loves human friends and even has potential with other pets and kiddos. ❤️
