I lost count how many kids and adults Lucky taught to ride, groom or just give treats to. He taught me that patience goes a long way in teaching and training both horses and students. I also learned that he would do anything for a peppermint! He was my little trick horse, that would answer yes/no questions for the camp kids, take a bow, sit like a dog and even play dead. He never missed a step when I rode him pregnant with each of my own kids. Was the kindest and quietest horse for Logan and Brandalyn to learn to ride on. The spotted horse loved them just as much as they loved him.
For over 31 years he’s been a part of my life. It’s been an honor and a privilege, Lucky. Your soft nicker will be missed!! 🌈💔😢😘
Being the teacher, I didn’t always get pictures of the kids riding Lucky. If you have stories or pictures you’d like to share, please do!
