I was disrespected by an older gentleman earlier this year because I do not spend every second in a day at my facility. During this awful conversation, he wanted to know what happens if there happens to be a fire in the 3 hours we are closed to clients during the day. I politely wanted to tell him that I would be more help outside the building than inside as I would call everybody I could for help from 911 to people to help transport. If I were to be Inside, I would probably waste time consoling or wrapping my brain around how and why. And while we do everything we can to ensure your dogs safety is our #1 priority, bad things do happen to people. Unexpected things do happen. But this doesn’t mean I can spend 24/7 at the facility because of the “what ifs”
If we only focused on the bad things that ‘could’ happen, life would be SO negative & unenjoyable.
The reason I’m able to give clients/customers what they want is because I balance my life outside of work. Nobody would want to be around me if I lived there. I wouldn’t be married and I wouldn’t have a little boy who needs his mama too.
& these are reasons that I pray daily over the safety of the facility, the dogs, the dog owners, and the staff, to help ease my mind because people like this drilling negative thoughts into someone’s head can really mess with you. Yes the world is scary, the unknowns are scary too, but I’m not going to live everyday in fear because of the unknowns & what ifs. & here’s your reminder that you shouldn’t either.
So do something ENJOYABLE today because life is too short not to.

I will continue to preach how important it is, for your dog & the person grooming your dog, to stay consistent with grooming. I remember when this hairy boy first came in. I was nervous that he wouldn’t do well and we wouldn’t be able to blow his coat out. He did great and has been coming every 6-8 weeks since. His coat is ready to come out each time he comes in. Nothing is more upsetting than having a dog who NEEDS blown out or groomed and we cannot complete it due to the dog not being used to it or being bounced around. Friendly reminder as a pet owner to start your dog young & stay consistent! Your dog & groomer will thank you! 💛

Memories of June 22, 2024 are flooding my phone like the water did that day.
It was something I will never forget, but something I pray nobody has to go through again.

I’m so grateful for helping out where we could then and praying for the families who are still affected physically & mentally💛

This day reminds me, now looking back, of how grateful I am for all the supportive, encouraging, & caring people who I have in my corner!

Summer is {BUSY} so we do our best to answer the texts & calls in a timely manner, but sometimes it takes a little bit longer! I promise we will get back to you, it’s just the dogs in our current care are our first priority! 💙

Im just over here giving words of affirmations to the boarding dogs on my weekends because their well being & happiness is important to me 💛

This is the kind of treatment I want my dogs to have when I go out of town, so I ensure this is the love given to dogs in my care.

It makes me sad to think they may hear they are a good boy or girl everyday at home and at some facilities they wouldn’t get to hear those words. They may not hear “goodnight, I love you!” But here they do from me 💓

Each & every dog is special in their own way & they should not all be boarded the same.

Some pups need an extra blanket because they like to build their own bed or burrow, some pups need towels under their water bowls because they love their water more than life, some dogs need that extra pet, some dogs need company when going potty, some dogs need extra guidance when walking around, some dogs need their special treat after morning potty, some dogs want to greet you before going outside, some dogs want to participate in the excitement the whole let out, others want to be let out & lay back down. Some dogs need special rooms, some dogs walk in the front door & know where to go & some dogs need their bed from home.

Whatever it is, we do our best to learn them & what they like 💛
