It's a wrap. What a successful AVMA conference with EcoLife Expeditions. I had the opportunity to share my experience and inform others about a trip of a lifetime. I had the chance to speak with quality vendors and veterinarians regarding all new medical items and our trip.
It was an honor to walk into the show and see our Parvo pup survivors front and center in Elanco booth.
We are very honored to have a great relationship and continue saving lives with CPMA.
EcoLife has some new exciting excursions that we will be sharing very soon. The booth was busy all weekend, and we were happy to educate attendees about the hard work South Africa is doing to keep the wild wild.
We also had a chance to meet Alumni that also shared experiences about their trip.

Thankful Thursday... Two Parvo survivors are bathed and discharged today. A special thank you to Laurel Kinder for her instrumental role in saving Nilla, a 5-year-old Pomeranian, and covering her medical expenses. Nilla's owner struggled financially and was homeless, while his pet contracted Parvo. He visited her daily to ensure a speedy recovery. We commonly treat adult Parvo cases, stressing the importance of timely vaccination.
Little Patty was the sole survivor of a litter of six. Unfortunately, her owners could not afford treatment, resulting in the loss of the other puppies. However, we accepted her into our program and successfully saved her life. Laurel Kinder

We made it through the night. Appreciation goes to all the volunteers. Interacting with the dogs and cats, we tired them out and gave baths.
The war zone was intense until 3am.
Enjoyable conversations, pizza, sweet treats, and affection from the animals defined the night.

We will be staying at the Hospital overnight to scan and help Abandoned animals if needed. If you find an injured animal please call Long Beach Animal Control

We also could use a few volunteers to come on down spend time with the animals help scan dog or cats.

I am completely speechless and heartbroken over the news about Mikayla Rains, and I had been planning to visit her and the Foxes.
It is essential that we stand together against bullying and support one another in the rescue community. I have lost count of how many times I have heard people say "I should do more" or "they can do it better."
A few months ago, I sent Mikayla a private message, offering her some uplifting words and appreciation for her tireless work in rescue. She responded promptly, expressing gratitude for the support from a fellow rescue advocate.
Bullying can manifest in various forms, and it is vital that we acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of those around us. If one cannot offer something positive or constructive, it is best to refrain from comment. Most people are unaware of the immense emotional toll that rescue work takes on our lives.
We need support not negative hate.

Freedom Friday, we honored the memory of little Amber, who was lovingly sent to Rainbow heaven this evening. We express our sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff and volunteers, who selflessly dedicate themselves to saving lives. Over the past 10 days, I shared the journey of Amber and her siblings, rescued from a homeless encampment, where they suffered from a lack of vaccines, malnutrition, and deplorable living conditions. Our team worked tirelessly to provide them with support and comfort, despite their critical health issues, including massive parasite infestations, parvovirus, and coronavirus. Sadly, little Amber's condition necessitated humane euthanasia today, releasing her from pain and long-term paralysis. We held her dear until her final breath.
I am deeply heartbroken 💔 for Amber who was a true fighter till the end.
