I saw this representation and immediately thought of horse training. I feel like we need one more image though…9 hours at 100°. It would definitely show something not good to eat.

When training a horse there’s a proper amount of education spread over an appropriate amount of time to build the most balanced horse. One with the right amount of responsiveness and relaxation. We don’t want to do too much too fast but we also don’t want to do too little over too long of a time span. It might be important to know which way we’d like to miss the mark.

To do too little over too long and we’ll likely have a more relaxed horse that can’t do as much. To do too much, too fast and we’ll likely have a handy horse that’s nervous and more reactive. Depending on what we’re doing with the horse we may prefer one or the other. Both things done to the extreme are not good. But to miss slightly isn’t too bad no matter which side you miss on. It’s just best to miss in the direction that suits you and your goals.
