For those of you who’ve been following the stories of the dogs we rescued from a hoarding case in Murray County in February of this year, we’ve gotten a great pupdate from Nacho (formerly Nelson) and Tofu (formally Esther)’s pawrents!
“We adopted Nacho and Tofu back in May. I wanted to let you guys know that we love our doggos so much, and though the leash training is taking some time, they’re definitely getting comfortable in their new environment. Just this week, Nacho felt comfortable with me petting him and he started to lick my hand and face. Tofu meanwhile loves to play with her red ball. Thank you for your amazing work, you do a world of good for our four-legged friends 🤩🐶.”
To be honest, we weren’t sure how Nacho/Nelson would ever settle into a home; he was by far the most traumatized of the five dogs we rescued from Murray County. When we saw that another nearby rescue, TiggerTown, had only one remaining dog left from the crew they rescued from the same hoarding case, we hoped we were doing the right thing by bringing her to PPC. What has ensued is the best possible outcome we could have dreamed of for either dog—as you can see from these pictures and videos, Nacho and Tofu adore each other, and we’re so grateful to their family for choosing to keep them together!
