This advice is from a post by Dr. Ruth Sobek, a colleague in California. I'm ordering a few for myself to see how well they work, and how quiet they are.
"Buy these inexpensive pet clippers, and train your horses to tolerate them, so they don’t commit su***de when I need to clip hair away from a wound to treat it, OK?
These days fewer people clip for shows, so horses rarely get acclimated to the buzzing and the sensation any more. When your horse gets a wound, you can clip the hair around it for a better look and to clean it better. Then when you send me a photo I can actually tell you what I think about it instead of guessing!
Using this product, your pet doesn't feel startled by the sound of the clippers, and it can take off all the excess bushy hair so cooler, relatively quite and does not stress your fur baby,so your pets will not get nervous.
