Bichon Rescue of Orange County California is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless senior Bichon Frises, bichon mixes, and other small non-shedding breeds, placing them into permanent, stable, and caring forever homes. We believe in the value of our senior citizens as adopters as well as foster and are committed t

o their advocacy and support through our “Seniors for Seniors” focus. We believe in promoting awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets, and of the importance of proper medical, dental, and nutritional care. We believe in cultivating a volunteer spirit in our youth and educating them about the importance of pet advocacy. Senior Dogs:

We believe senior dogs contribute positively to our quality of life and have much to teach us about patience, respect, responsibility, loyalty, and unconditional love. We believe every senior dog deserves to live out their golden years, months, weeks, or even days in a place of love, security, and peace. We believe dogs are not a disposable commodity; rather, they depend on us to care for them through all stages of their lives. We believe in providing educational support, advocacy, and sharing of best practices for those who support senior dogs.

🌟 Meet Finnegan! 🌟

I’m Finnegan, a 9-pound, 10-year-old purebred Bichon Frise… and let me tell you, I’m nothing short of a love bug! 💕

Here’s what my foster mom says about me:

🐾 I’m sweet, snuggly, and friendly with people.
🐾 I’m great with kids and other dogs.
🐾 I’m housetrained and love taking little walks.
🐾 I’m a champion cuddler who will happily keep you company.

One little thing: I don’t hear very well anymore. But don’t worry—it doesn’t slow me down one bit! You may just have to get creative when calling me for dinner. (Pro tip: dinner time is my favorite time. 🍗)

Health-wise, I’ve had a full check-up, I’m microchipped, and I’ll receive regular dental care every 6 months to keep my smile shining. 😁

And just look at me—cute as can be! 🐶✨

🚨 Urgent: A Chance to Save Two Lives 🚨

BROC has two beautiful dogs, they are only 6 years old and in great health—but they need more than just a home. They need someone experienced, patient, and committed to helping them work through their behavioral challenges.

They’ve been with us at BROC for a while now. We've tried to help them, but their progress requires consistent, long-term effort in a stable home environment. Unfortunately, without a qualified adopter stepping up soon, we may be forced to make a heartbreaking decision: euthanasia.

This is our last resort, and one we never take lightly. But we’re hoping the right person is out there—the one who sees past the issues and sees the potential.

🚨 Cooper Needs Your Help! 🐾❤️

Sweet Cooper recently had to undergo major dental surgery to remove both of his upper canines. What seemed like a routine procedure turned serious when we found out both roots extended all the way into his sinus cavities 😞. The surgery required careful removal, packing, and suturing deep into both sinus areas to prevent long-term issues.

BROC had to spend $1,200 to get Cooper out of pain and on the road to recovery. We didn’t hesitate to say yes—but now we really need your help to cover the cost 🙏.
