Bichon Rescue of Orange County California is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless senior Bichon Frises, bichon mixes, and other small non-shedding breeds, placing them into permanent, stable, and caring forever homes. We believe in the value of our senior citizens as adopters as well as foster and are committed t

o their advocacy and support through our “Seniors for Seniors” focus. We believe in promoting awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets, and of the importance of proper medical, dental, and nutritional care. We believe in cultivating a volunteer spirit in our youth and educating them about the importance of pet advocacy. Senior Dogs:

We believe senior dogs contribute positively to our quality of life and have much to teach us about patience, respect, responsibility, loyalty, and unconditional love. We believe every senior dog deserves to live out their golden years, months, weeks, or even days in a place of love, security, and peace. We believe dogs are not a disposable commodity; rather, they depend on us to care for them through all stages of their lives. We believe in providing educational support, advocacy, and sharing of best practices for those who support senior dogs.

This 7-year-old, 13-pound miniature poodle mix is pure sunshine wrapped in white and apricot curls — his fur even takes on a gorgeous rose-gold glow in the sun! ☀️🐾

Cliffy is the total package: smart, sweet, affectionate, and full of spunky charm. He’s a no-fuss, easygoing boy with a lot of pep in his step! Whether he’s lounging by your side, playing fetch with his favorite stuffed toys, or exploring the world on a walk, Cliffy is just happy to be by your side.

BROC is in urgent need of fosters who love helping dogs and can hit the ground running! We rescue a wide range of dogs—young and old, shy and outgoing, easygoing and high energy—and we need loving homes to help them transition into the next chapter of their lives.

If you’ve fostered before or feel confident handling dogs with different needs, we would love to have you on our team. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save. 💔🐶

🚨 Cooper Needs Your Help! 🐾❤️

Sweet Cooper recently had to undergo major dental surgery to remove both of his upper canines. What seemed like a routine procedure turned serious when we found out both roots extended all the way into his sinus cavities 😞. The surgery required careful removal, packing, and suturing deep into both sinus areas to prevent long-term issues.

BROC had to spend $1,200 to get Cooper out of pain and on the road to recovery. We didn’t hesitate to say yes—but now we really need your help to cover the cost 🙏.
