“Are you coming to see me?” -Ace

Ace is our longest stay resident and is hoping this will help him find a loving family. He is a 2 year old Border Collie mix who is smart, loving, and looking for someone committed to continuing his training and keep his mind and body busy!

He will be back at MHS tomorrow and ready for adoption when we open at noon 🐾

This 8-year-old Akita mix may have a mythic name, but he's all about real-world charm. Currently in foster care, Loki is proving to be a total gem — he’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs. Talk about an all-around good boy!

His favorite summer pastime? Splashing around in a kiddie pool and living his best laid-back life. Loki is the kind of dog who just gets it — calm, friendly, and ready to settle into a loving home. Meet Zinnia! 🌸

This 4-year-old Lab is as friendly as they come. Zinnia loves meeting new people, handing out wet kisses like candy, and soaking up all the attention she can get!
She’s carrying a few extra pounds right now, but with the help of a loving adopter, some daily walks, and playtime in the yard, Zinnia will be back to her healthiest self in no time. She’s more than ready to be your walking buddy, cuddle partner, and biggest fan.

After leaving work, a Good Samaritan started hearing strange noises coming from their car. When they pulled over and popped the hood, they found this sweet kitten inside the engine compartment.

This little guy has burns on his paws and an injury to his chin, likely from the heat and movement of the engine. Luckily he was alive — and thanks to quick action, he made safely to MHS.

He’s now on the mend and will be receiving daily bandage changes, pain management, and antibiotics. Despite everything he’s in good spirits and already charming staff!

Emergency cases like this can pop up when you least expect them. If you’d like to help us cover his medical care and support animals like him coming to MHS in urgent need, your donation makes a big difference. 🐾
