Please Donate! It’s $5 Friday !!!

We are truly struggling to raise the funds needed to get these two great dogs the training they so desperately need to become adoptable!!!

Training is so hard to raise funds for because issues that need to be addressed aren’t visible. But it does not mean they aren’t there!!

Both Pheby and Madalyn are good dogs- they just need some guidance to build up their self esteem so that they can take on the world with confidence !!!

Cooper is dog and cat friendly!!!

This good looking boy is searching for a foster or a forever home!! He loves everyone and is a really nice dog! He loves to power walk and has lived in a home previously so he should be well mannered.

Currently Cooper is stuck in boarding and we are trying hard to get him placed on a foster home to help increase his chances of finding his forever people.

Donations Needed for Bali’s Care!

Bali is the name we chose for her because it means “strength “

We saw this girl getting help from animal control on Friday and we just knew we needed to help her!!!

This poor girl has been out on the streets for awhile now. She is quite emaciated.

Bali is at one of our veterinarians now- she will be sent home with a refeeding plan and some puppy food to help gradually and safely put back on the much needed pounds!!

Double the Fun!!!

Dave and Wendy Are Adopted!! This inseparable duo has found their perfect match in their new parents!!!

They're loving every minute of their new life together and can't believe their luck!!

Wendy's heartworm treatment was a success, thanks to their fabulous foster family, and now they're officially a family of four!!

We wanted to share this awesome post from one of our amazing fosters and volunteers to share her story about fostering and why it’s so important and such a selfless thing to do!!!

Why rescue???

Yesterday I took my beloved foster, Lucky Charm, to her wonderful new family...it was bittersweet because she's been with me many months, went through HW treatment and dealt with other health issues .. I will miss her very much.....but this is perfect outcome for every former shelter dog..

Immediately after having my little cry over Lucky in the car... I went and picked up Ellie Beth... She had been surrendered to Walton County Shelter a couple of weeks ago..she was terrified shaking in fear .. we couldn't bear for her to go through this . So Barkville pulled her,

On the ride home, Ellie was shaking initially,, but settled down and put her head and the console next to me on the long drive ♥️ she is at my home now decompressing and doing well

Ellie will be looking for a more long term foster or adopter once we get to know her personality and determine the best type of home for her ..But so far so good ...she's a sweet girl...I can tell already that she is housetrained and very gentle!

Rescue is an emotional roller coaster, but the outcomes for these beautiful souls makes every minute worth it ...please join us!!

🐾 Meet Hardy! 🐾

This charming, happy-go-lucky boy is on the hunt for his forever family! Born in early 2025, Hardy is a delightful Coonhound/Pointer mix who’s already stealing hearts. At just 24lbs, he’s still growing and could mature into a medium/large-sized pup. Hardy was saved from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter, and he’s now on his journey to health and happiness!

With love and care he’s becoming the vibrant, goofy, and sweet puppy he’s meant to be. 🐶❤️

In his foster home, Hardy is making great strides with potty training and basic commands. He walks well on a leash and settles beautifully in his crate. This cheerful boy wags his tail non-stop and gets along splendidly with everyone he meets, including kids and other dogs. With his young age, he could even befriend a cat or two!

Hardy dreams of a loving family ready for a lifelong companion. He’d love a friend to play with and a fenced yard for all his puppy adventures! He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped – ready to join your family!

This Tuesday, we were thrilled to rescue a dog from a heartbreaking fate - euthanasia due to his heartworm positive status. It's devastating to see so many incredible dogs, like Benjamin, end up on the euthanasia list.

When we met him, his name was Bumpy, but we soon discovered that Benjamin Franklin was the perfect name for this charming and affectionate companion.

Benjamin is currently receiving a thorough medical examination, and we're eager to find him a foster home where he can start his heartworm treatment.

For about eight weeks, he'll need plenty of downtime and crate rest. Fortunately, Benjamin is a friendly, low-maintenance, and extremely sweet dog who gets along well with other dogs. His calm and gentle nature ensures a smooth transition into most families.

It's time to find Pocket Pitty Terrance a foster home!!!

Let's take a moment to appreciate all the adorable faces of Terrance!!! Each one is cuter than the last, it's ridiculous!!!!

Terrance is 1-2 yrs old, playful, adorable, housebroken, dog friendly and crate trained - what more could you ask for?

Terrance is currently at Rucker Dog Training, learning all his basic obedience skills and good boy manners. And we've heard he's picking it up in no time!!! Once Terrance finishes training he'll need a dedicated foster or adopter to give him a home and to work with him to keep up all that he's learned!!
