🐾Heading to the pool, beach, or lake can be a wonderful form of exercise and a great way to help your pet cool off on a hot day! 🌞😎Just be mindful of water safety to ensure your adventures don’t end with a visit to the ER.🙀 Even though everyone has heard of the “doggy paddle,” not all dogs automatically know how to swim. 🐕It’s important to introduce your dog to the water slowly to help them get comfortable. Just as you would with a child, you’ll need to help your pet learn to swim.🐶 Check out the infographic below to learn more about water safety for dogs!

Does your pet eagerly watch you cook, hoping for a tasty treat to fall their way? Remember, it's essential to never leave pets unattended in the kitchen while cooking. Pets may accidentally jump onto stovetops or knock over hot items, causing fires or burns. Use stove k**b covers to prevent pets from accidentally turning on burners.

We love spending the long, sunny days with our furry companions, but summer does come with its hazards. 🌞Unlike people, dogs and cats do not have sweat glands in their skin and therefore cannot cool by perspiration and evaporation. 💦Panting is their only way for cooling off. 🌡 As temperatures and humidity rise, this method becomes less efficient. 🐕 Dogs and cats have a baseline body temperature of 100 to 102 degrees, and their organs begin to shut down at 106 degrees.🐈 To make sure you’re prepared, check out this list of summer safety tips from the infographic below and from experts at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/general-pet-care/hot-weather-safety-tips

With rising summer temperatures, July has been established as National Pet Hydration Month. 🌞While keeping water available to indoor and outdoor pets may seem like common sense, the summer heat provides an opportunity to educate your clients about the symptoms and dangers of dehydration and overhydration.💦

Hey do you know about PetDesk!? Many of our clients are using it and you can too, it's easy! 🥳
PetDesk is our mobile app that you can; request and confirm appointments, access your pets vaccine history and get reminders on when your pets are due for their vaccines!🐾
Since it is a new system, response times may be slightly delayed. Please call our hospital if you are having any problems or have any other questions. Thank you!😁

🐾Did you know we do Laser Therapy??🙀
YES! This non-invasive, holistic treatment speeds up the body's natural healing process and relieves pain. It’s a great option for post-op dogs, older dogs, and dogs living with chronic conditions like arthritis.🤕
How does pet laser therapy work?
Laser therapy uses deep penetrating beams of the light to alter cells and the tissue that surrounds them to target them and promote healing. 🐶
If you think laser therapy could possibly improve your dog’s quality of life, give us a call at (716) 664-4204 to schedule a consultation.🐾
