From all of us at the Radnor Hunt Starter Horse Trial, we want to thank all of you for your support yesterday! It was a fantastic day and we loved seeing everyone enjoy the beautiful Radnor Hunt property.

Please send us your photos from the day especially photos with our ribbons and prizes and we will share them on our social media!

Don’t forget Victoria Morano was the official photographer and should have some fabulous photos for you all to view and purchase to remember your special day. ❤️

Cross country schooling is tomorrow from 1pm-5pm for those who have registered and paid. Registration for cross country schooling is CLOSED.

The indoor will also be available for schooling (included with your paid cross country fee). Cross country schooling is ONLY available to those who have registered.

The course is set and decorated and looks fabulous! The course will be available for walking beginning at 1pm tomorrow. SJ will be available for walking Saturday morning beginning at 7am.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Today is an exciting day-ride times are posted!! Woo hoo!

Ride times (and other information) can be accessed on event entries under the “show center.” Once you click on the show center, choose our show and voila! Lots of information at your fingertips. Please be sure to check your division; if there is a mistake, please contact the secretary immediately.

We will be emailing all of the competitors with helpful information no later than Thursday.

The countdown is on; can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday!

🚨Sign ups for the cross country schooling on Friday, October 9th will close TODAY, Monday, October 5th at 5pm! 🚨

If you’d like to school the FULLY DECORATED COMPETITION COURSE, please sign up today! This is a great way to prepare for the show the next day.

Included in the fee to cross country jump is schooling in the Radnor Hunt Indoor. Come practice a course that will be similar to the course for the show! Again, a great way to practice the day before the show.

It’s not too late to get involved for this year’s show! We are still taking volunteers for set up on Thursday, October 8th, Friday, October 9th as well as the show day on Saturday, October 10th! We have a great group signed up but the more the merrier. Thursday & Friday will consist of set up, decorating, cross country schooling, indoor schooling, etc while Saturday will be all the typical horse trial jobs. No experience necessary!

We will be hosting a volunteer meeting on Wednesday, October 7th for those that have signed up, please keep an eye on your in box for the invitation today!

Let’s talk about important reminders for the day of the show!

⭐️ Be sure to get ALL of your paperwork in prior to the start of the show. This facilitates a smooth check in.
⭐️ Don’t forget to bring a plastic pinney holder for cross country. Most local tack shops carry them as well as Amazon.
⭐️ All riders are highly encouraged to wear a medical armband for all jumping; the medical armband WILL BE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED for cross country!
⭐️ The cross country course will be open to walk beginning at 1pm on Friday, October 9th.
⭐️ The show jumping will be available to walk beginning at 1pm on Friday, October 9th and will close at 6pm. Show jumping will also be open for walking beginning at 7am on Saturday, October 10th and throughout the day in between divisions.
⭐️ The schedule and ride times for the show day will be finalized very soon. If you have requests, please email the secretary asap!
⭐️ Ride times/the competitor email will be sent on Thursday, October 8th.
⭐️ Please review the grounds map as some locations have shifted from last year. Be sure you know where everything is located for show day; the map will also be included in the competitor email.
⭐️ The SJ will be held in the RH Indoor; if you have a grounds person, please bring them to SJ with you. Hoofs must be picked before entering and when exiting. We will have volunteers on hand to help for those who do not have a grounds person.
⭐️ The SJ will be staged exactly as it is for the monthly jumper shows; we will have a holding area that can accommodate 9-10 horses inside the indoor.
⭐️ We will not have an official bit check however non traditional dressage bits will not be allowed; pelhams, kimberwickes, Mylar combination bits etc. If you have a question about a dressage bit, please email or message us or ask your trainer.
⭐️ If you are competing an active fox hunter, please let us know asap!
⭐️ If you have signed up to cross country school and have not paid, please do so asap; if you have not paid, you may not cross country school on Friday, October 9th. All payments MUST be received prior to that date. Sign ups for cross country schooling will be closing very soon.

Today let’s talk about what to do AFTER entries have closed!

For those new to the sport, there is a way to check if your entry was received. Event entries will automatically email you with a confirmation email once you have entered an event. This will usually list if your entry is complete or if it is missing key pieces of information or a payment. Event entries also has a page called show center on their website to check your entry status-

Once you click on the link, please click on the third tab from the left on the top of the screen. This is the entry status page. This lists all of the competitors and whether your entry is “complete/accepted” or not. If your entry is NOT complete, PLEASE try to get all of your paper work, fees, etc in to our secretary as promptly as possible. The deadline for all paperwork will be Sunday, October 4th at 6pm though she would very much appreciate it sent in sooner than later!

If your entry is not complete by the 4th you will NOT be assigned ride times. Please, please get your documents in so we can avoid this!

The “show center” on event entries will be your information source for the show. Please familiarize yourself with all of the tabs. Ride times will be listed here as well as course maps (when available).

We will continue to post updates on social media and we will be emailing competitors when we are closer to the show. As soon as we have information regarding ride times, course maps, etc we will pass that info along!

Entries will CLOSE tonight at midnight, no exceptions! We are excited to get everything organized including the finalized cross country maps and times but we can’t do that until we close entries. Please get your entry in TODAY, if you plan to join us.
