Operation Doggie Treats, Inc

Operation Doggie Treats, Inc Getting doggie treats to local shelters & beyond. As of 11/2017, 1900 lbs of treats have been delivered to 30 shelters. Goal is one ton by March 2018

Operation Doggie treats was created in memory of my beloved German Shepherd, Gunner, that crossed the rainbow Bridge in April of 2016. The mission is to get doggie treats (and other needed items) to dogs in local shelters & beyond, while they wait for their furr ever homes. Started in December 2016 after a friend, Donna G. who volunteers at a local shelter told me that doggie treats in the shelter

were getting low. To date (3/2021) approximately 4000 pounds of treats have been either personally delivered or shipped to over 35 shelters in NYS and on several occasions - other states. Most recently, Operation Doggie treats shipped 250 pounds of Purina dog Chow (plus some treats) to a shelter that rescued over 20 dogs affected by Hurricane Harvey. In September, 2017, Operation doggie Treats will be an official 501(c)(3) charity organization, which means your donations will be tax deductible. Every dollar donated gets approximately one pound of treats to dogs in shelters. This is a very rewarding opportunity to help dogs. No dog should be without doggie treats while they are in a shelter, scared, lonely and confused. Please consider sending a donation, in any amount, even a dollar, to: Judy Mulrooney (or to Operation Doggie Treats) 505 Lois Lane Niskayuna NY 12304. Thank you for your support :)

Ho,ho,ho and happy holidays from Operation Doggie Treats, Inc. Today we visited the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands, New York. We donated quite a few things from their wish list plus a few extra goodies that the doggies and kitties would love to have. A special thank you to Mike and Stella Collins, and to Carl Roberson for making this delivery possible. We are a 501(c)(3) charity organization so please consider sending a donation so we can continue visiting shelters. And as always, we are here today “making a doggy difference one shelter at a time”.

Operation Doggie Treats is eight years old today. We decided to make a delivery to the shelter where it all started, the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Donna Gold, who volunteered there told me the shelter was running out of treats, thus my idea to start Operation Doggie Treats, plus it was Gunner’s favorite treat. We looked on their wish list and got them many items that they wanted. We are a 501 C3 charity organization. And as always, we are here today “making a doggy difference one shelter at a time”. Special thank you to Carl Roberson for making this delivery possible. And a special thank you to my volunteer today, AJ.

Our Story

Operation Doggie treats was created in memory of my beloved German Shepherd, Gunner, that crossed the rainbow Bridge in April of 2016. Our mission is to get doggie treats (and other needed items) to dogs in local shelters & beyond, while they wait for their furr- ever homes. Started in December 2016 after a friend, Donna G. who volunteers at a local shelter told me that doggie treats in the shelter were getting low. To date (9/2019) approximately 3000 pounds of treats have been either personally delivered or shipped to over 50 shelters in NYS and on several occasions - other states. Operation Doggie Treats also shipped 250 pounds of Purina dog Chow (plus some other supplies & treats) to a shelter that rescued over 20 dogs affected by Hurricane Harvey. In November, 2017, Operation Doggie Treats became an official 501(c)(3) charity organization, which means we are a recognized charity and your donations are now tax deductible. Every dollar donated gets approximately one pound of treats to dogs in shelters. This is a very rewarding opportunity to help dogs. No dog should be without doggie treats while they are in a shelter, scared, lonely and confused. We strive to make a doggie difference, one shelter at a time. Thank you to our volunteers that help with all the deliveries. Please consider sending a donation, in any amount, to: Judy Mulrooney (or checks to Operation Doggie Treats) 505 Lois Lane Niskayuna NY 12304. You can send doggie treats to same address, if you’d prefer vs monetary donation. Thank you for your support !
