Support Service Dog Training Scholarships for Military Members with PTSD
Shaman's Way has partnered with Mt. Carmel!
Shaman’s Way Dog Training has launched a powerful, life-changing program to help active and retired military members train their own dogs as PTSD Service Dogs.
But not every veteran who needs this healing journey can afford it.
We’re raising funds to provide full and partial scholarships for those who have sacrificed so much — and now need help taking the next step toward healing, independence, and reconnection through the support of a trained service dog.
Your donation will directly fund:
🐾 Enrollment fees for veterans in need
🐾 Training supplies and equipment
🐾 Ongoing support and coaching throughout the program
This program begins mid-June at Mt. Carmel Veterans Center in Colorado Springs, and we are committed to keeping spots open for veterans who need financial assistance.

This class was created to give back the freedom that was taken in the line of duty. Through trust-building, real-world practice, and trauma-informed instruction, we’ll help you and your dog grow into a confident, connected team.

Are you a teen (ages 13–17) from a military-connected family?
Do you love dogs and want to grow your confidence, patience, and leadership skills?
Join Shaman’s Way Dog Training for a powerful new class designed to teach you how to train a dog from basic obedience to advanced skills — using only positive, humane methods.
📍 Where: Mt. Carmel Veterans Center, Colorado Springs
🌟 Includes field trips for real-world dog handling experience!
📅 When: Starting mid-June
👥 Class Size: Minimum 4 – Maximum 10 students
🎓 Students will have the option to apply to join Mt. Carmel’s exclusive Therapy Dog Team — serving veteran-connected programs and events.
