Melon!! I am very hopeful GUF will produce a huge crop of melons this year! So many flowers! The bees are doing their part and visiting all of them helping to produce many melons! Look at the size difference with just a couple days of growing. I’ve never seen such bee activity and I’ve seen so many melons. Lots of cantaloupe planted this year.🤞🍈🍉🍈🍉🍈

Come see me Wednesday from 3-7!! My neighboring orchards are having a banner year and they have asked me to sell some of their fruit. I will have blueberries, fresh peaches and Lodi apples! Lodi apples are thin skinned and perfect for baking and making apple sauce! I think they are delicious to eat too. I’ll have kale, golden beets, garlic and flowers. See you this afternoon!

It’s heating up and the seasonal offerings are changing! Come see me on Saturday , 8–noon! This week I will bringing a special treat: fresh blueberries from my neighbor farm, The Garden at Dogwood Forest. I will have the last of the snow peas, salad mix and fava beans. There will be golden beets and the first of the Lacinato kale. If you remember this kale from last year; it is not bitter and makes a lovely raw salad. Ask me for the recipe. I might even have some cherry tomatoes 👩🏻‍🌾🤞. Thanks for supporting a small, urban farm! See you soon!

Nature is showing off big time at the farm right now! Butterfly W**d, Elderberry,and the deliciously scented Common Milkweed ( where are all the Monarchs!? 🥲) All the rain has prompted a showy display.

Looks like we’ve got a least one lil fawn on the ground!

Mischief managed. I needed to check a couple of hives today and I’m glad I did. The pink one was crazy full of bees and needed more room and the green one was in trouble as it was missing a queen. Luckily one of my other hives had a couple of frames with queen cells, drones and capped brood to share. It was a long but good bee day. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝💛💛
