We held a training session for some of our volunteers this morning. One Saturday out of the month we focus on a topic of horse care. Today’s session was about summer sores and the benefits of our cold laser made by Brandenburg Equine Therapy. They learned how to use the laser which aids in the healing of soft tissue injuries and wounds in addition to the application of vet wrap to the leg to keep the wounds clean.

We have a new arrival! “She’s A Hottie,” a 4 year old filly that stands just shy of 16.1 hands currently (barefoot). She raced two times with her last race in March where she was bumped around a bit. Her connections chose to make the right call to let her find an alternative career where she’s happier. We just had her adjusted and she was visibly grateful! She has been a joy to have around so far and we can’t wait to watch this girl blossom. Taking applications now!
