Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue was born out of a deep love and concern for animals. It began because of the huge need in a community with no city or county animal services. Many times puppies, pregnant dogs, and unwanted dogs are left at our entrance or tied to our gate overnight. They are all in need of a safe place to live and recover from the harsh life of being hungry and homeless or unwante

How about one that gives back and gets you moving! Volunteering to walk rescue dogs is a win for everyone - you get fresh air, beautiful trails to count your steps, and our pups get exercise, love, and joy they’re so grateful for.

Happy New Year good news to share! Mindy found her forever home with a couple that has adopted from us TWICE before! That makes Mindy a 3-PEAT!!!! And we are all so thrilled. Mindy even passed the cat in the house test! Thank you Bob and Sheila was for giving our Mindy a beautiful home. She had been with us more than 3 years. That is a New Year Celebration!

Hi, this is Kendall.
My dog, Boo, is missing.

From Ellis Circle off Wilton Drive. In the Wolfe City Drive/224 area in Greenville.

She has been missing since 12/31 at 11pm. She went outside to go potty and I went out walking looking for her as soon as noticed she was gone. I have covered the entire area on foot looking for her. I believe she got scared and ran due to fireworks. She is not wearing a tag, as I found her collar snagged on the fence where she got out.

Boo is partially blind in one eye and is 9 years old. She is about 12 pounds and is a papillon/chihuahua mix. I desperately wish she could make it home. She can be skittish around strangers, but is friendly.

I am willing to provide a cash reward for her return. She responds to Boo or Boo Bear.

Please help me find her. This rescue will pass in any info.

As we ring in the New Year, fireworks and loud celebrations can be scary for our furry friends. Please take a few extra steps to keep your dogs safe and calm tonight:

✨ Keep pets indoors during fireworks
✨ Make sure collars and ID tags are secure and up to date
✨ Create a quiet, cozy space with familiar blankets or toys
✨ Play soft music or TV to help mask loud noises
✨ Never leave pets outside unattended

Your pet depends on you to keep them safe - let’s start the New Year with peace, comfort, and wagging tails. 🐶❤️

As 2025 comes to a close, our hearts are full. This year brought unimaginable loss and challenges—but also incredible compassion. Because of you, we continued to rescue, heal, and rehome animals in need. Your donations, volunteer hours, fostering, and love—especially shown to Karen—kept hope alive.

I adopted a hound from you back in 2021- Flash. His name is Les Paul now. My love for him and his breed and YOU of course inspired me to start my own hound dog rescue. Thank you for all you do. Happy Christmas Eve and Congratulations to Janet. She found the perfect home for Christmas! Thank you to the Wolf family for giving Janet a loving and forver home! She likes to wear her reindeer antlers like a bow! As Santa prepares to visit your home, we wish you a joyous night full of love and making beautiful memories and in rememberance of the Reason for the Season.
