Prayers Warriors! Please pray for little Jessie.
Jessie was a unclaimed stray with a nasty cough.
Graciously, Cheryle Hodge drove him out to meet me at the vet last week. We had him heartworm tested, he is NEGATIVE and 0 tick bourne diseases.
He DID have fluid on his heart as well as a murmur. He was started on Furosemide and pimobenden and was to come in for recheck this week.
I noticed Friday evening he was still coughing but a bit more lengthy and his belly looked more extended.
Appetite was still good, p**p 💩 is finally good.
Last night, coughed but ate dinner.
Noticed this morning he had coughed up a carrot 🥕 and a grain of rice during the night.
This morning, no breakfast, heavy cough, belly hard as a rock, peed and p**ped fine, but no appetite and did not want to take meds but did get the furosemide in. He seems to be struggling so off to the vet we go!
Well, obviously fluid still present so hes being added another diuretic.
He is basically in congestive heart failure so we are playing catch up to reduce the fluids.
He was put on oxygen as soon as we arrived ans he immediately perked up. Guess thats next on the list to get from is a oxygen chamber.
We will monitor as always and keep this little guy calm, cool and collected.
Please pray we can get this under control so this little guy can have the Life he Deserves!
