This is heartbreaking news. Karly was wonderful to work with at West Valley. I was able to conduct some classes at her facility. She was a true professional; always looking out for those animals in need. Such a wonderful and compassionate person and amazing animal advocate. My deepest condolences to Karly's family and West Valley Humane Society. Thanks for giving us our Stella; a rescued pit bull from West Valley.

This is an excellent article by Heather Beck of K-9 Lifeline. Structured play can bring a lot of fun while instilling calm after playtime. Both are essential for mental stimulation, impulse control, and relationship-building with your pooch.

Playing with your dog is great mental and physical stimulation, but learning how to calm down after play is also important.

This little cutie is looking for a forever home. He is currently with a Dutch Shepherd/Malinois rescue organization. I am working with them on leash walking. He currently is living with 2 dogs; right now he needs dog intros. He came from a Reno shelter. If interested, let me know and I will pass it on to the rescue group.

Hi Everyone!

New obedience class starting next Wednesday on June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. We will be working on obedience commands, dogs co-existing in class, relationship building and canine good citizen. It will be in a park and we will be practicing social distancing from each other. Small class, which is great for learning and of course, the social distancing that is needed.
