ALERT - For some, this is the 7th consecutive day with a heat advisory. Thankfully, cooler temperatures will begin to move in to the area tomorrow to provide some relief from the heat. However, today will be another hot and humid day. We have a Heat Advisory in effect for the counties in orange. Heat index values between 101-103 are expected in this area. We also have an Extreme Heat Warning for the counties in pink for heat index values up to 105.

It's important to remember a few safety tips to keep you safe during this heat wave! Remember to drink plenty of water, limit time outdoors, take frequent breaks if outside, and seek shade and/or AC whenever possible. Also, check on more vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, pets, and those with health conditions. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke in yourself and those around you!
