Seal Cove Labradors
Not sure who needs to hear this, but so called fancy colored Labradors (silver, ch*****ne, charcoal) are not pure bred. The only way to get these colors, is to breed to other dogs like Weimaraners. The resulting pups are often laden with health issues. Real preservationist breeders take all aspects of what makes a healthy Labrador into consideration

My note : The Labrador Retriever Parent Club on their AKC website has been very clear on this issue. I strongly urge any anyone considering buying a dog that is one of these so called "fancy colored Labradors" go read their statement on this issue.

It is the opinion of the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc., the American Kennel Club Parent Club for the breed, that a “silver” Labrador is not a purebred Labrador retriever. The pet owning public is being duped into believing that animals with this dilute coat color are desirable, purebred and rare and, therefore, warrant special notoriety or a premium purchase price. "
