My team and I are a caring and compassionate group that loves to offer medical and surgical care to small and exotic animals. We love having the opportunity to provide great services to our patients and our clients. We all consider each other family and as soon as you step through the door we consider you and your pet to be part of our family as well! My name is Dr. Emily Hoppmann and I own and operate a full service veterinary hospital with office hours from 8 to 5:30 Monday through Friday. I have advanced training in Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery and love my exotics! As you can see, I have poured my heart and soul into this clinic and feel like I should apply for a name change to Elgin Veterinary Hospital! All kidding aside, I love what I do more than anything in the world and feel like the luckiest person alive to be at such a great clinic, with my hand-picked staff, and the best patients and clients anyone could ask for! Today, February 28th 2025, we officially close our doors and Elgin Veterinary Hospital will be permanently closed. Obviously, due to this closure, we will no longer be in communication of any kind, including phone calls and emails about patient records. Fortunately, Wateree Animal Hospital of Elgin has obtained all of our client and patient records and will have those available as soon as possible as the IT team of Wateree is working on getting everything into the system. Please note, if you need access to your records, you will have to contact Wateree during their normal business hours as they have taken over all of our medical files. We have loved building a family and treating your pets for over a decade and will miss everyone very much. Please find the contact information for Wateree Animal Hospital below:

It is with much sadness that I announce that, with my health issues, Elgin Veterinary Hospital will be closing this month. There are still a lot of things up in the air and we will keep you updated as soon as possible. The plan is to have Wateree take over our client records so you do not need to worry. However, we wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible, even without knowing all the details. Don't forget to booster your fur baby's vaccines when they're due! They should also receive a physical exam at least once a year, or more if needed for health concerns. This is the best way to ensure your fur baby is safe and healthy and in the best condition possible, just like our friend here Riley with Dr. Rivera and EVH Staff 🥰🐾🩺❤️
