A Slim Jim a day keeps the homelessness away……

Slim is so ridiculously good-looking he could make your neighbors jealous, your selfies go viral, and your life 200% better just by existing in your living room. Who needs a dating app when you’ve got Slim?

🧡 Was a “stray” (dumped) dog in Bruce Twp in December and wandered his way 10+ miles all the way down to Washington Township by the end of February.. starving, scared, abandoned, and alone he survived on his own for two long and scary months looking for his “family”
🧡 Was in the absolute roughest shape and only 33 lbs when he was rescued.. a few more days out on his own and he wouldn’t have made it 💔 but he’s truly never looked back.. he’s the happiest, dorkiest, clumsiest dog you’ll ever meet!
🧡 has a heart of gold, loves all humans
🧡 would do best with an adopter who is home more than not, after being out alone for so long he’s turned into a total Velcro boy and doesn’t do well crated for long periods
🧡 enjoys the simple things in life like a consistent meal, a new toy, looking out the window (his fav) and hanging out wherever his people are.
🧡Meet and Greet with other dogs
🙈MUST have 6 foot fence, tie out in regular fence, leash walks no fence. No off lead. NO exceptions.
Neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative

The silliest, wiggliest boy. Never ever have a dull moment ever again with slim Jim in your life!

💔 Final Update on Travis 💔

The doctor’s findings were devastating—multiple skull fractures, an abscess that spread to the left side of his brain, a brain hemorrhage, and hydrocephalus on the right. While it’s possible he was struck by a car, the doctor emphasized that his injuries point more to deliberate trauma at the hands of a human.

Because of the catastrophic damage, Travis was suffering, and the only mercy left was to help him pass peacefully. 💔

To those who donated and fought for him—thank you. To whoever did this—you are the reason an innocent, gentle soul’s life was cut short. Humans failed Travis in the worst way, and the cruelty he endured is unforgivable.

‼️UPDATE - he was admitted into MSU to give him a chance. We are concerned about quality of life moving forward and options/opinions will be discussed. CT scan & xrays.
We paid $1,750 to admit him, half of the high quote.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨This morning, an eight-week-old puppy was found dumped in a cardboard box outside a Flint vet clinic. His tiny body tells a story no puppy should ever live—his skull is exposed, and he was rushed to an emergency hospital. The doctors urged an immediate transfer to MSU for the specialized care that may save his life and we are headed there now !

We are overwhelmed with the amount of trauma cases coming through our rescue doors, but when a soul this fragile needs us, we can’t look away. We have named him Travis ❤️

🗺️Tulsa🗺️

🐾Approx. 2yr old Spaniel mix (possibly with Border Collie?)
🐾Small/petite gal
🐾Done raising her -NINE- babies & is ready for a family of her own
🐾Does well with other dogs of all sizes ! Would LOVE another dog in her new home 🏡 ❤️
🐾Has not yet been cat tested, but would likely do fine with slow & proper acclimation

🐾Rides well in the car 🚙
🐾Once you are accepted into her trust circle, she is the sweetest peach 🍑 . She can be shy to warm up at first .
🐾Her current foster does not have kids, but we have been told she's proven good with children
🐾Has done well gaining confidence & learning basic manners in her foster home - would love a person or family that will continue to give her structure & help her be a well-rounded girl

🐾Spayed, current on all vetting including microchipped

From the moment we saw him at Genesee County Animal Control and heard their desperate plea , it was clear this boy had been failed. Nothing but a neglected bag of bones, his spirit crushed under the weight of abandonment, he should never have been left to wither away like this. And yet—despite the pain, despite the hunger, despite the heartbreak—he still leans in softly for kindness. 😩

We don’t know his whole story, but we know the road ahead will not be easy. He will need time, medical care, good food, and love to piece him back together.

We are begging for your support to help him fight for the life he deserves. Every single donation will go toward giving this sweet boy the second chance he has been denied for far too long.

Right now, he doesn’t even have a name. We want to give him one worthy of his fight—a name that carries nobility, strength, and the promise of a new beginning.

Bourbon & Lager — now living the good life as Sigfried & Otto — recently had a big day at the dentist! 🦷 Their dental had been scheduled long before adoption, but their amazing new parents didn’t miss a beat. They drove nearly 5 hours to make sure the boys got the care they needed, and not only followed through, but also paid the bill themselves. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😍

The cost of the dental was already covered in their adoption fee, but their generosity turned it into an extra donation that will now help so many other dogs in need. ❤️ We are endlessly grateful for adopters like them who go above and beyond.

🐾Brenda - 1 of 9 animals dumped this week at a vet clinic.
Severely matted. She was sedated to shave 🪒, clearly she had never been groomed, bathed.
Brenda is a nice girl. She’s actually spayed, wow.
Heartworm negative.
👉 we do have foster apps for her. But understand, she will need proper decompression time, meet with resident animals after a few days.
Leash walks only, even in a fenced in yard.. she’s scared.
