Rudy is swimming!! We took Rudy and Barrett to visit Canine Camp-Out. This is Rudy's second visit. We are hoping the swimming will be therapeutic for his hip. This is Rudy's second session and he is swimming much better now. He even jumped into the pool on his own!! He's not yet a dock diver but he is a pretty decent ramp diver. His navigation back to the ramp could use a little improvement! 🤣

Car rides....Rudy is not a fan! It used to be a big ordeal to et Rudy in the vehicle. When the ride leads to some really fun stuff though, it makes it a little better. Rudy still is not a fan of the ride but, as you can see in this short clip, he is a lot more cooperative than he used to be.

We are very proud of our Board &Train boy, Rudy!! Today was a big day for him. Another training trip to OUR Tractor Supply. We are continuing our effort to get Rudy more comfortable with riding in a vehicle and we are expanding his obedience training to places of higher distraction. Today we worked on Rudy's down with duration, distance and distraction. He made significant progress today.

Tonight is Paint with PAWS in New Lexington!! There are people attending that want to meet Rudy!! Rudy is very excited about going to this event. Ahead of this event we threw together a couple clips of Rudy and the progress he has made. WARNING!! This is not quality edited footage. This video opens with Rudy going through a mock STAR Puppy Test. It also shows Rudy's manners when waiting at the door and not busting though to get outside. The video concludes with Rudy going over the A frame and through the tunnel. Enjoy Mr. Rudy!!

The Adventures of Rudy, cont.
This afternoon Rudy took us to Canine Camp-Out so he could get in a few laps. We think it's Rudy's first swimming experience and he wasn't overly excited about it, but he didn't fight it too much. Even started coming down the ramp to us. This has to be good exercise for hip.

Another successful field trip for our B&T, Rudy. He visited Tractor Supply and gave them some inventory tips. 🤣 He did a great job and was a gentleman with everyone who wanted to meet him. He also requested a stop at Ox-B's!

HELP US FIND A GREAT HOME FOR RUDY!!

Our Board & Train dog, Rudy, went on his first B&T Field Trip today! We wanted to see how he reacts to environmental stimuli. Rudy had gotten sick in the vehicle when he was delivered to us, but he did not get sick during our field trip. He was in the truck for about 30 minutes. The walk around Somerset went well. Rudy didn't have any reactions to the people, noises, or traffic we encountered. Being a hound, his nose was in overdrive but he walked well on our casual on-leash walk. We have two dogs and a cat in our home and we have had no issues with Rudy's adjustment and interaction with them. Rudy will make a great addition to a low-medium energy household. He is very content lounging on a bed or couch with his human companions. He is not a fan of alone time. To win Rudy's heart, apply for his adoption at PAWS - Perry Animal Welfare Society

Got in several training sessions with our Board and Train dog, Rudy. He is pretty much a blank slate as far as obedience commands, but he is already showing promise. Rudy has a pretty low energy level and is very content to snuggle up on the couch or take short walks around the property. We have a lot to discover about Rudy but so far he seems like a really low maintenance dude who loves his people.

Give a big ol' Perry County welcome to RUDY!!!! Rudy is a PAWS - Perry Animal Welfare Society dog that is with Brink's K9 Training for a Board and Train program. Rudy is about 11 months old and is a SWEETIE!!! Today is Rudy's first full day with us but we see a lot of potential in Rudy to make a wonderful companion dog.
