Sunday Follow-Pup! 😊

I just wanted to give an update on “Gotti” who has since been renamed as Boss!

He is adjusting to his new home very well. He loves laying on the cool floors after a walk. Tug of war is his favorite pass time. He’s clearly been longing for a comfy couch to lay on and his dreams have come true!
We love this gentle giant with all our hearts and so does our 1 year old. He is so amazing with our son. We hope more dogs get a second chance!

Sunday Pupdate!

I wanted to give an update on panther 🙂
She is still the sweetest little lady who loves snuggling with me & her little human sister. She loves getting the zoomies and running around & is getting better about walking on a leash! She’s also been gaining weight perfectly 🥳

I just wanted to share a success story! This is Enzo (formerly Loki) living his best life with Ryne! They are best friends and we love him so very much!

Note-
We did ask about the dogs having one of those exploding toys.

HA! It’s amazing how quickly those darn things explode! Especially when both of them are carrying it around the house together! 😂😂😂

Adopted-

A journey of love

Hank is the all around American good boy!

Hank is a tripod but that doesn't slow him down a bit

He is such a well behaved and friendly boy thanks to his wonderful loving foster home. He was a favorite at offsite events. We just couldn't figure out why he had not been adopted.

But sometimes the universe knows you just have to wait on the family you were meant to be with. That's what happened to Hank.

A wonderful family saw his picture on Facebook and wanted to meet him. It was love at first sight for everyone.

His new family even did all kinds of research on a 3 legged dogs.

Hank will have a mom and dad who love him and a canine sibling to play with. We hear he might even get to go to some sports practices.

Finally his journey has brought him to a new life of love and adventure!

Thank you for loving our all American good boy and giving him a forever home

Siren-this girl is pretty much perfect!

The last picture is her brother, Max.

They came to animal control because their mom passed away.
No, there was no plan in place for the dogs in this situation. Unfortunately their mom died young and unexpectedly.

With tragedy you just move forward.

They do not need to be adopted together. She is younger and doing better a bit better in this situation than Max is.

Max is just included in this post, because that's what siren would've wanted.

If you're thinking about adopting a dog go out to SCAC and ask to meet Lucas.

I'm pretty sure he's one of the hidden gems out at the shelter.

Take a walk with him. Sit on the bench, picnic table, or go to the play yard and have a sit. Just sit there and chill with him. He's not the type of dog that jumps all over you, or tries to lick you. He's the type of dog that seems to respond to your energy.

He's the type of dog that all of a sudden will come over and just very gently throw his paws across your legs while you're sitting-if you match his energy.

I'm pretty sure he's someone's soul dog, just have to find that someone.

Kennels are FULL‼️

Please consider coming out to Sangamon County Animal Control and meeting some of the wonderful dogs.

Do not judge them by their kennel behavior. Spend time walking around with them and going to the play yard. Take the time to get to know them a bit.

Adopted

Doby is a free elf!!

This handsome young man showed up at animal control as a stray. We thought somebody surely would be here to reclaim him, but no one ever showed up.

Doby is a young boy with lots of energy. He is such a sweet boy with a goofy, playful personality.

Today a nice family came to meet Doby and thought he would be a good fit for their family. They did a meet and greet with his canine sibling and everything went great!

So today Doby gets to start a new life with a family to love, and a lot of new adventures.
He was so excited to be with his new family he couldn’t sit still for the going home photo.

Many, many thanks for getting this sweet boy out of the shelter life and into a loving home

Pearl-5 years-She is beautiful,No matter what they say-Please don't forget about her.

Sweet Pearl-So very gentle would do so well with an older couple or person. She would be one great friend.
