More proud and deserving contestants from our K9 Olympics event !
We’re proud of the way our RPD K9 teams represented the department at the K9 Trials held August 17–20 in Zionsville. The event brought together dozens of K9 teams from across the country and around the world, including teams from the U.S. Army Special Forces. Competing at that level makes our teams' accomplishments even more impressive.
**Officer Nordman and K9 Baas**
* 1st Overall in Patrol
* 2nd Overall in Narcotics
* 1st in Hard Dog
* 1st in Open Area Narcotics
* 2nd in Luggage Narcotics
* 3rd in Vehicle Exteriors
**Officer Wolfal and K9 Bane**
* 1st Overall in Narcotics
* 1st in Hogan’s Alley
* 2nd in Narcotics Exterior
**Officer Krofta and K9 Zane**
* 2nd in Narcotics Building Search
Officer Uphaus also represented RPD by judging the Vehicle Exteriors event and serving as a decoy during the Hard Dog/Fast Dog event.
Our K9 teams put in tremendous time and effort throughout the year, and these results speak for themselves. Competing alongside some of the best K9 teams in the world and bringing home these finishes is something our department and community can be proud of.
