Congratulations to the winner of our $1,000 raffle, Kristin from NOLA!! Thanks to all who bought tickets to support GNOTRC. Thank you Andrew and Danielle for picking the winning ticket! Monies raised go toward the care of our therapy horses, the true stars of our center, without whom we cannot help our children and adults with special needs.

Next is our Rock, Ride and Rescue silent auction at Rock n Bowl on Sunday, July 27 from 6-9 pm. If you have an item to donate to the fundraiser, we would love to have it. This year we are seeking "experiences". So far, we have a beer keg party for 20, and a bow fishing adventure.

Our last fundraiser of the year will be our Spirit of Christmas, a walking tour filled with Christmas sculptures with lights held on the grounds next to Destrehan Plantation. We still need help putting light on the frames, and will need help setting up and breaking down. We also need 7 nightly volunteers to help direct guests and traffic. Event dates are Nov 28 - Dec 28.

What a day! We had quite the "shopping list" of things that needed to be done at the farm. Thank you to Satellite Center for clearing out the left overs from storing our winter round bales of hay, consolidating our Christmas frames, storing unused equipment, and everyone's favorite, shaving our hairy ass! Thank you!!!
