We will be closed for Monday May 26th to observe Memorial Day. Please contact the clinic at 515-955-3631 to be directed to the on call doctor for emergency services. Normal boarder half day pickup will be Sun 5-5:30 and Mon 5-5:30 as usual. Have an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Please remember that lilies are highly toxic to cats and can cause kidney failure. All parts of the plant are toxic; flowers, leaves, even contact with pollen, so keep plants and bouquets separate from cats! Have a safe and joyous Easter!

We will be closing early this Wednesday afternoon due to the blizzard and another partial power outage. If you are a client of FPMC and have an emergency, please call the clinic at 515-955-3631 to get in touch with the emergency contact. Normal office hours should hopefully resume on 3/20. Ned says stay cozy!

Hailing from Carroll, Iowa, Dr. Cheney received her DVM degree from Iowa State in 2024 and is committed to providing high quality care with a focus on educating clients about their furry friends. Dr. Cheney has a special interest in Cardiology. Outside of work Dr. Cheney enjoys watching movies and playing video games. She is excited to be part of the Family Pet team, where she looks forward to building lasting relationships with both patients and their families.

We will be closed on Thursday, the 4th of July for the holiday. The office will be open on Friday and Saturday morning for drop offs and medication pickups but no doctor will be available. For after hours emergencies over the weekend, please contact the ISU Lloyd small animal medical center at 515-294-4900. Normal office hours will resume on Monday the 8th.
