SKIPPER IS OUT — BUT HE STILL NEEDS A FOSTER TONIGHT 🆘

Skipper was found as a stray, covered in mange with crusty, painful skin. He’s about 2 years old and has clearly been let down. After spending several days at the shelter, we couldn’t leave him behind. He’s now out and on transport but we still need a foster to step up tonight.

He will need medical treatment and some TLC, but most of all, he needs a safe, quiet place to land. Please consider opening your home to this sweet boy.

Tonight’s Reality Check

I’m wide open to ideas right now. Because instead of commenting “what kind of post is ‘do or die?’” I’d love someone to tell me how to get FIVE large dogs placed—with no fosters, no open boarding, and no more time left to stall.

These dogs were saved from euthanasia. They’re alive—but I have nowhere for them to go. My home is full. There’s no empty backyard. And even if there were, we’re in the middle of a Texas heatwave. I’m not going to stick a dog outside in 100+ degrees and “hope someone steps up.”

Transport needs an answer tonight. I either tell them we can take the dogs, or I release the tags and tell the shelter: we tried. That’s what it’s come down to.

So before you critique a post title or the tone, consider this: I’m not trying to scare people—I’m living the fear. This is what rescue looks like when adoptions are down, fosters are full, and shelters are flooded. Literally. The shelter is still dealing with flood damage from last week, and the city is requiring them to euthanize to make room.

So here it is:
• Do you know someone who can foster?
• Can you share their posts?
• Can you help us with social media?
• Can you help us network?
Because I’d love more help. I don’t need more criticism.

This sucks. It’s heartbreaking. But I’m still here trying to do right by these dogs. And I’m hoping—praying—that someone else will too.

🚨 OVERLOADED. OUT OF OPTIONS. DO OR DIE. 🚨
This is not just another post. This is reality. This is happening. Right now.

The shelter we work with is overcrowded and dogs are dying.
We were interested in several dogs last week—we didn’t get to them in time.
They were euthanized before we could act.

💔 It’s devastating. But it’s the reality we face every day.

We’ve since committed to seven dogs.
We told the shelter:
“If we can find fosters, we will save them.”
We meant it. We still mean it.
They are even booked for transport Monday.

But here’s the hard truth:
We also told the shelter that if we do not secure fosters, we will have to relinquish our tags.
And if we do that—these dogs will die.

They are still sitting in the shelter. Not safe. Not pulled.
And boarding is NOT an option. It is draining our rescue and already pushed us to the edge.

Every time we post, we hear:
“Save them! Save them!”
We do.
And then… they sit.

We still have a dog from a “must-save pack” from three months ago, sitting in boarding.
People moved on. The dog didn’t.
This is what rescue really looks like.

We’ve had fosters commit and back out.
Fosters who go on vacation and need their dogs moved.
Adopters who return dogs and need placements immediately.
And through it all—we keep trying to say yes.

But we can’t keep doing this without help. These seven dogs still need you.

🆘 WHAT WE NEED:
✅ Fosters — even short term (minimum 2 weeks)
✅ Donations — to help us stay afloat and care for those already saved
✅ Shares — boost the algorithm, spread the word, save their lives
✅ Comments — help this post get seen
✅ Adopters — go look at our available dogs today

We want to honor our commitment.
But without you, we can't.
This is the do-or-die part of rescue.

Other dogs have already met their fate.
These seven will follow unless someone steps up.

No fluff. No filters. This is real life.

Here comes another post about Trixie—
sorry, not sorry! 😇🐾

I mean… look at this face! 🥹💕
She had her very first BBQ restaurant outing this week and crushed it. Total angel. Sat politely. Wagged at strangers. Stole hearts left and right.

Trixie’s got the manners, the looks, and the love to give—now she just needs her person. 💛

🍯 Meet Honey!
With a name like that, you know she’s sweet.

This little Spaniel-Corgi mix is as precious as they come—fluffy, friendly, and ready to be your new best friend. We think she’s the perfect combo of cute and cuddly, with just the right amount of s***k.

Honey is adoptable now, and trust us… she won’t last long.

🧸 Beatrice + Her Teddy = One Brave, Beautiful Heart
This is Beatrice.
She was surrendered to the ER with a painful medical condition her owners didn’t want to treat.
She was left behind—hurting, confused, and alone.

But a kind vet tech stepped in. She saw the spark in Beatrice’s eyes, and she gave her the chance to heal. 💗

Now? Beatrice is safe. She’s healing. And she’s holding tight to her teddy—because it’s the one thing she’s had through it all.

She’s just over a year old, about 60 lbs, and likely a Pit Bull x Frenchie mix.
She’s silly, playful, good with other dogs and people, and just wants a home where she’s never left behind again.

Beatrice is learning her basic manners and loves everyone she meets. She’s energetic, fun, and would make an incredible walking or adventure buddy.

💔 She’s been through so much—but she still carries love in her heart… and her favorite stuffy in her mouth.

Let’s find her a forever family to hold onto, too.
