There’s not a whole lot of true blue color to be found in flowers. So I was blown away when these (usually purple) larkspur started blushing blue.

I take its appearance as recognition that there a lot to be sad about in the moment. AND a reminder that when times are urgent, we must move slowly, maintaining inner calm despite the noise and chaos.

Our shed cat doesn’t bring us a lot of “presents.” Finding this one outside the chicken coop this morning was pretty shocking. But truly a gift - the chance to peak inside and marvel at the tiny inner workings of a fellow Earthling.
