Happy 10th Anniversary, Christa! 🎈

If you've ever had a visit with Dr. Strickfaden, you may have met Christa too! She plays a vital role in supporting holistic appointments and helps manage our inventory stock to ensure we always have what we need. Her calm, approachable nature makes it easy for clients to understand her wealth of knowledge, all while keeping their pets at ease.

Outside of work, Christa is an outdoor enthusiast who makes the most of her time in nature. Whether it's hiking, camping, kayaking, or exploring national parks, she finds happiness soaking in the world around her. She's never out adventuring alone though, her husband and loyal Alaskan Malamute, Izzy, are always close by. And when she is inside, she is a whiz in the kitchen and loves creating delicious dishes.

We’re so grateful for everything you bring to our team and the compassionate care you show every animal that comes through our doors. Your dedication shines through in all you do, and we’re grateful to have you as a member of our team!

When most people hear the pattern "roan," they think of red or blue roan horses. But, several breeds like the Cocker Spaniel pictured here have it as a breed-standard coat pattern! This is Cain, and we think his color is absolutely stunning!

Sammy at Greenseed Studios in Sheboygan helped Sami memorialize her late Frenchie, Stella. Sami said, "This way, she's always with me."

Our entire staff oohed and ahhed over this detailed artwork that looks exactly like Stella.

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Kate! 🎉

For those who haven't met this wonderful, hard-working girl yet, this is Kate, and she is one of our Vet Assistants. Any challenge or new task? She's up for it! In the past two years, she has assisted in traditional and exotic pet appointments, prepared tests in the lab, cared for pets in boarding, and even jumped behind our front desk when needed. She has an incredible work ethic and proves it to us every day.

After her day at the clinic, you can find her at home surrounded by horses and her Shepherd, Molly. Her favorite thing is to go on trail rides through the woods with friends (and Molly, of course) at her side. She also spends time with her boyfriend at truck shows and other, more laid-back events. Though, when she's home alone, she'll happily clean every corner of her loft!

Kate, you are an energetic, fun, and outgoing person, and we love watching you shine here! Your passion for helping pets and their owners through any situation and weaving your positivity into it is remarkable. You are unstoppable, and we love having you as a member of the Countrycare family!

She is a Wirehaired Pointer puppy, only 9 weeks old when she came in for her first visit with us! Her name is related to something Pointers, Spaniels, and other hunting dogs were bred for.

Please help us congratulate Brooklyn! She has worked at Countrycare Animal Complex for the last 2.5 years while attending college. Now she is heading to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for veterinary school. This smart, compassionate, talented young woman is going to be an amazing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)!

Pixi was perfect for her Blood Pressure screen! ❤

Pixi is a 13-year-old Pit Bull mix, and is one of our K9 Mature Platinum pets! This means that, in addition to the blood pressure screen, she receives physicals, blood screens, eye tests, and several other services at a discounted rate. We have Wellness Plans for every stage of your pet's life to create consistent healthcare for you and them.

Elevated blood pressure can be a sign of other more serious aliments. Thankfully, Pixi's blood pressure reading came back within normal range, so on top of sounding great, her heart is functioning as it's supposed to and we have no reason to look for other conditions. She did great at sitting nice and still for Brooke K and Brooklynn, earning a few extra snuggles along the way!

It's incredible to see the progress in training from our perspective!

Pets being anxious and fearful when coming to a new place is fairly common, so watching them grow and learn that it doesn't have to be a stressful experience is truly wonderful. Seeing them come out of their shell with our staff is so rewarding, even if it's not all wags and kisses, little steps go a long way. We're so happy to be a clinic that promotes calming, fear-free techniques that encourage comfortable pets!

Brooke N fell in love with this Guinea Pig while he was here! ❤

This is Squeaks, and he was the most relaxed and social pet we had at the clinic that day. He enjoyed watching everything that was going on while munching on his hay and getting attention from our staff. With his adorable looks and chill personality, our Vet Tech, Brooke, fell for him hook, line, and sinker!

Is your pet having fun in the sun this weekend? ☀

This is Lincoln, and he was hospitalized with us earlier this month! Though this means that he couldn't run around as much as he wanted to, he certainly got some downtime outside and LOTS of attention from our staff.

For those pets that love to run, please make sure they always have shade and water nearby to relax (if they let themselves). Pets are also susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat stroke, so it's important to consider how this weather could affect them.

Our Story

Countrycare Animal Complex, located in Green Bay, WI, has been serving pets and their people since 1998. We are dedicated to providing innovative and integrative veterinary care with compassion, respect and humility. We offer traditional and holistic services for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and reptiles.

In 2012, we created a non-profit organization to help pets in need after house fires and natural disasters. This organization is called C.A.R.E for Paws. Through C.A.R.E for Paws, we provide disaster relief kits to The Red Cross and create emergency evacuation bags for pet owners.

We celebrate and nurture the special bond between animals and humans. Our success is measured by the impact we have on each animal’s life.
