Current available farm youngsters include the new boy Dante - a German Riding pony c**t by DeLite (of course) and out of Welsh mare Evans Grey Fox (aka Kit).

DeLite is by DeLuxe (DeNiro) - dam line includes Florestan/Florett As with Dino's dam a full sister to FEI World Cup winner Verdades.

Kit is by the Welsh B stallion Bridlewood The Celebrity (a fun perlino boy) and Kit's dam is by Smoke Tree Gold Fever (a lovely palomino boy.)

Dante is expected to mature large pony or oversized....probably not more than 15h. He will be registered Part-bred Welsh.

He is a lovely type with good substance and excellent movement.

This year there is only one new life on the farm....the culmination of 3+ years of hard work - long hours - lots of wait...

This year there is only one new life on the farm....the culmination of 3+ years of hard work - long hours - lots of waiting and lots of worry.

That is really the same story any farm owner will tell......hard work - long hours - lots of waiting and worry.

It is tough to take time to appreciate - to rest - to feel the satisfaction and joy in a job well done - a dream realized.

With the birth of this year's foal, the time has come....
31 years has been a good long run.

After a very long journey of working with a young poorly handled mare, to reach the point where she foals and then sweetly invites you in to participate with her new baby is an indescribable gift and honor.

There are so very many lengthy posts about "horse training philosophies and practices" that get passed around on social media ...some very good - some ridiculously questionable......

Often it is just as useful to be simple in thoughts and actions.

Today a friend stopped by the farm just as I was wrapping up my round pen session with Jade .... I was asked how she was coming along and what my goals were...
I have been known to be wordy....but today the answer was so easy I didn't need to pause & think or elaborate.
My lofty goal in my relationship and training of DeLite's daughter Jade - it's very simple.....

Be Better Than Yesterday!

(It could be a universal goal as well 🙂 )
