Indy Neighborhood Cats Volunteer Opportunity

Are you organized, compassionate, and looking for a way to help cats in need? Indy Neighborhood Cats is looking for a Transport Coordinator (House Cats) to join our volunteer team!

WHY House Cats? Our partners at FIDO Indy have filled a gap in transport for housecats to get fixed for many years. Indy Neighborhood Cats are going to be taking over cat only households who visit our joint FIDO Indy/Indy Neighborhood Cats pantry and need house cats fixed. You can play a role in this well established program.

🗓 One day per week
🐾 Transport 5–7 cats weekly to and from spay/neuter appointments
🚐 INC van available – no need to use your own vehicle
📍 Based in Indianapolis

You’ll be an essential part of our mission by helping ensure that owned and fostered cats get safely to their "appointments.

Requirements:
✅ Valid driver’s license
✅ Comfortable handling cat carriers
✅ Reliable and communicative

Adopted!!

🩷Adele is just a sweet older lady. She is a Poodle mix, 8 years old, and about 15lbs. Adele is a gentle girl, who will follow you around and give little kisses. 🩷

🧁Adele does great with other calmer dogs and cats. She has been spayed and had a benign mammary mass removed. She had a full dental cleaning and vaccinations as well as a heartworm test, microchip and deworming. 🧁

Did you know it is recommended to do a 7 day transition to a new diet?! 🐱🐶🍴
Transition Instructions:
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

These perfect father & son floofy poofs, Binnington and Noah, were in the clinic yesterday for their annual wellness!!! These boys are officially bikini body ready thanks to their mom's diligent hard work on their diets post rescue! Great job Heather and floofs! 🐾😍👙🌞

🌴This tiny little snuggle bug, is 9 months old, a Chihuahua mix and weighs about 7lbs. Charo can be shy, but she is also flirty and charming. Charo likes people, dogs and cats. We do require a home with gentle children, 12 and older due to her tiny size.🌴
