As a pawrent you know that cats can be mysterious creatures.
Understanding feline behavior and body language can help you better communicate with your little furball and create a stronger bond with them.
Here are a few things to look out for:
1️⃣ Purring: Cats purr for a variety of reasons, including when they're happy, content, and relaxed. If your cat is purring while you're petting them or cuddling with them, it's a good sign that they're happy and feeling loved.
2️⃣ Flicking tail: A cat's tail can convey a lot of information about their mood and intentions. If your cat's tail is flicking back and forth, it could mean that they're excited or agitated. Pay attention to the context and other body language cues to get a better understanding of what your cat is trying to tell you.
3️⃣ Flattened ears: Cats flatten their ears against their head when they're feeling threatened or defensive. If your cat's ears are flattened, it's important to give them some space and allow them to approach you on their own terms.
4️⃣ Dilated pupils: Cats' pupils dilate when they're excited or interested in something. If your cat's pupils are dilated, it could mean that they're ready to play or that they're interested in something in their environment.
5️⃣ Meowing: Cats meow for a variety of reasons, including when they're hungry, seeking attention, or trying to communicate with you. Pay attention to the context and tone of your cat's meows to get a better understanding of what they're trying to tell you.
